Notable Cases On Wednesday, at 5:05 p.m., two subjects, a 35-year old transient male and a 48-year old female from Vallejo, both attempted to pass two fictitious checks at the Bank of America on Gellert Boulevard. Both subjects were arrested. On Saturday, at approximately 4:54 a.m., a 23-year old San Francisco resident was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a large capacity magazine, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, possession of an unregistered concealable firearm and for carrying a loaded unregistered firearm. This occurred following a traffic stop by Officer Fulmore and Officer McQuade at Junipero Serra Boulevard and Westlake Avenue. The passenger in the backseat was arrested for public intoxication. On Saturday, at 11:30 p.m., a 40-year old Daly City resident reported he was involved in a road rage incident at the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Schwerin Street. While stopped at the light, he said he exited his vehicle and began yelling at a woman who cut him off with her vehicle. The reporting party said the woman then pepper sprayed him in the eyes and tackled him and left the scene. The victim gave a description of the vehicle, including the license plate, and officers contacted the owner, a 25-year old Daly City resident, who admitted to being involved in the altercation. Neither party requested prosecution. On Sunday, at approximately 12:34 a.m., several officers were dispatched to Flournoy Street and San Jose Avenue on a report of an auto vs. parked auto collision with injuries and property damage. The reporting party said an older woman was bleeding from the head and arguing with a younger woman. The reporting party told dispatchers that both females were seen fleeing the scene with two young children. Officers located the subject and her two children at the intersection of Alemany Boulevard and Crystal Street and noted that the subject was not wearing any shoes and had blood splatter on her clothing. The officers were not able to locate the other woman. Officers

2 conducted field sobriety tests on the subject and determined she was under the influence. Her two children, 3 and 5 years old, suffered minor injuries. The subject, a 34-year old San Francisco resident, was arrested for driving under the influence causing bodily injury, hit and run with injury, child cruelty with possible injury, driving with a suspended license and for two outstanding warrants. The children were taken into custody by Child Protective Services. On Friday, at 3:31 p.m., officers cited a 39-year old Daly City subject residing on the 400 block of Verducci Court for not having a business license or operating permit. The subject operates a business called Crashpad LLC from his home, in which there are 28 tenants who pay to live inside the residence. The residence consists of seven separate bedrooms with eight bunk beds in one bedroom and four bunk beds in all of the other bedrooms. This case has also been forwarded to the City Attorney and Code Enforcement Division. On Saturday, at 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Home Depot store on a report of a subject harassing customers. Officers contacted a subject matching the description given to them by the dispatchers, and they determined the subject was under the influence of a controlled substance. The subject, a 36-year old Millbrae resident, repeatedly said he lived in Millbrae and that he was only a few blocks from home. Officers arrested the subject for being under the influence of a controlled substance and also for being in possession of a controlled substance. Robberies There were five robberies during the past two weeks. On Sunday, at 5:50 p.m., a 22-year old Macy s loss prevention officer was the victim of robbery after she was thrown to the ground by a friend of a subject she was trying to detain for shoplifting. The friend, a 16-year old San Francisco resident, was arrested for robbery and conspiracy. The shoplifting subject, a 12-year old South San Francisco resident, was also arrested for robbery and conspiracy. Her aunt, a 49-year old San Francisco resident, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for burglary. On Sunday, between 8:15 p.m. and 8:25 p.m., a 38-year old Daly City resident reported that she was in her apartment on the unit block of Ward Court when two unknown male suspects knocked on her door and pushed her inside her apartment. One of the subjects carried a knife and the other subject had a firearm in his waistband. They took belongings (jewelry and a cell phone) from inside the apartment and left on foot running in an unknown direction. The victim could only describe both subjects as being 30-year old Hispanic males, 5 7, 150 lbs., both wearing black long sleeve shirts, black pants, black gloves and black shoes. One of the subjects had a white hat. This investigation is continuing. On Monday, at 1:48 p.m., the Victoria s Secret store was the victim of a grab and run by two subjects who stole clothing and ran out of the shopping center. On Monday, at 7:22 p.m., a JC Penney s employee was folding clothes near the north entrance of the store when he saw a subject run out of the store with an armful of Warriors jerseys. The 17-year old employee immediately ran after the subject in hopes of taking a photo of his license plate, believing he was running to a car. The victim said he yelled at the suspect to give back the merchandise, and the victim said the suspect turned around and had a small black firearm in his hand. Fearing for his life, the suspect ran back to the shopping center. Later, a San Francisco P.D. officer identified the suspect, a 17-year old Pacifica resident, and our officers arrested him for robbery. On Friday, at 7:07 p.m., a 20-year old Daly City resident said he was riding his bicycle at the intersection of Southgate Avenue and Creston Avenue when he had a disagreement with a number of young unknown race males who were also on their bicycles. He said after the disagreement, one of the suspects followed him approximately five blocks, stopped him, punched him in the face and took a JBL speaker that was in the water bottle holder of his bicycle. This investigation is continuing.

3 Residential Burglaries There were two residential burglaries during the past two weeks. Between Tuesday, at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, at 1:00 p.m., an unknown suspect burglarized an apartment on the 300 block of King Drive via an unknown means. The suspect stole a 55 flat screen television, a computer graphics card and two silver vape pens. On Wednesday, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., an apartment on the unit block of School Street was burglarized. The loss was miscellaneous electronic items and tennis shoes. When officers reviewed video surveillance footage with the apartment manager, the manager recognized a 13-year old resident who let several boys in the complex. A complaint for burglary and conspiracy is sought against one subject, a 15-year old Daly City resident. Commercial Burglaries There were two commercial burglaries during the past two weeks. On Monday, between 10:50 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., an unknown suspect removed the lock from a locker in the men s locker room at the Planet Fitness facility and stole a watch, car keys, and a wallet containing cash and a debit card. On Thursday, at approximately 6:00 p.m., four males grabbed display Samsung phones from the display area of the AT&T store on Gellert Boulevard and fled into the parking lot. Vehicle Burglaries There were seventeen vehicle burglaries during the past two weeks. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot near JC Penney s two backpacks containing miscellaneous clothing, shoes and school supplies were taken from a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. The left rear window was smashed. Occurred on between 1:00 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. Serramonte Shopping Center parking lot near JC Penney s a backpack containing a wallet, clothing and shoes was taken from a 2014 Toyota Corolla. The left rear window was smashed. Occurred on between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Parking garage of 2001 Junipero Serra Boulevard (2 nd floor) a duffel bag was taken from a 2003 Mini Cooper. A window was smashed to gain entry. Occurred on at 4:19 p.m. Sprout s parking lot a backpack containing a work ipad was taken from a 2013 Subaru Outback. The right front window was smashed. Occurred on between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. **On-line report. Skyline Plaza parking lot near Ranch 99 a backpack containing a checkbook, wallet, social security card, green card, work identification and house keys was taken from a 2017 Honda CRV. The front passenger window was smashed. Occurred on between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Parking garage of 2001 Junipero Serra Boulevard nothing was taken from a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. The left front window and right front window were smashed. Occurred on between 9:45 a.m. and 5:10 p.m block of Wildflower Court shoes, sunglasses, and a watch were taken from a 2009 Toyota RAV4. The method of entry is unknown. Occurred on between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. **On-line report. Hoffman Street between Lausanne Avenue and Florence Street a printer was taken from a 2012 Chevrolet Colorado. The method of entry is unknown. Occurred between 6:10 p.m. on and 6:10 p.m. on **On-line report.

4 Parking garage of 2001 Junipero Serra Boulevard (2 nd floor) a leather jacket was taken from a 2015 Toyota Camry. The left rear window was smashed. Occurred on at 8:45 a.m. Parking garage of 1901 Junipero Serra Boulevard (1 st floor) a backpack containing sunglasses, reading glasses, MacBook Air, 6 month supply of contact lenses, Sony headphones and a credit card was taken from a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. Occurred on between 9:05 p.m. and 11:36 p.m. Westlake Joe s parking lot a suitcase containing a computer tablet was taken from a 2016 Nissan Murano. The right front window was smashed. Occurred on between 6:40 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. Belhaven Avenue/Northaven Drive hand tools were taken from a 2010 Honda CRV. The trunk window was smashed. Occurred between 7:00 p.m. on and 4:45 a.m. on King Drive/Hyde Court an iphone and a jar of medical marijuana was taken from a 2008 Nissan Maxima. Several windows were smashed. Occurred between 11:30 p.m. on and 8:30 a.m. on block of Northaven Drive a messenger bag containing an umbrella, flashlight and coins was taken from a 2008 Honda Odyssey. The right front window was smashed. Occurred on between 1:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Seton Medical Center parking lot sunglasses, paperwork, and keys were taken from a 2006 Toyota RAV4. The method of entry is unknown. Occurred between 4:05 p.m. on and 8:45 a.m. on **On-line report. 100 block of Woodrow Street binoculars, a gym bag containing climbing equipment, and a tripod was taken from a 2005 Toyota Prius. Occurred between 3:00 p.m. on and 7:45 a.m. on **Recovered by Oakland P.D. on Templeton Avenue/Alexander Avenue a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. Occurred between 8:00 p.m. on and 6:45 a.m. on **Recovered by CHP/Golden Gate on Bryant Street/Annie Street a 1997 Honda Accord. Occurred on between 5:30 a.m. on 7:40 a.m. **Recovered by CHP/San Francisco on Parking lot of Auto Zone (Mission Street) a 2001 BMW 525. Occurred between 10:53 p.m. on and 2:28 a.m. on Castillejo Drive/Belhaven Avenue a 2008 Honda CRV. 5 Scams/Other Kidnapping Scam On Friday, at 3:00 p.m., a 69-year old Daly City resident received a call from someone claiming to have kidnapped his landlord and demanded ransom money. The victim said the caller told him to wire $5,000 or that he would kill his landlord. The victim said he did not have that amount but gathered up $316 and wired the money to Mexico. The victim said the caller said to go to Wembley Drive where he would return his landlord to him. Officers contacted the victim on Wembley Drive, and the victim said he called his landlord who was fine. Community Events/Information Household Waste Disposal Event Saturday, June 10, 2017 (8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) San Mateo County residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) free of charge on Saturday, June 10. The collection events take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. To participate, residents must schedule an appointment at San Mateo County s HHW program: or by calling (650) , selecting option 3. The event location will be disclosed once your appointment has been confirmed. No commercial waste is allowed. Accepted items include acids/bases, aerosol cans, automotive supplies (car batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, brake fluid), cleaning products, fertilizers, pesticides, flammable liquids, fluorescent lights (compact and tubes), paint, inks, and photo chemicals. NO radioactive, explosive, medical or commercial waste is allowed. All waste collected is reused, recycled, or stabilized for proper disposal to achieve zero waste being landfilled.
