4 4 Registration This will be Twin River Council s first overnight venturing only event! The Mystical Hideout will take place October 13-15th 2017 at Rotary Scout Reservation located at 279 Davitt Lake Rd, Averill Park, NY The Theme for the event will be Magical / Mystical, Based off the book by J.K Rowling, Harry Potter. The cost for the weekend is: $16 Per Person (Before Sep. 29th) $20 Per Person (After Sep. 29th) The deadline to register is October 9th!! The price includes Patch and Awards. Reservations should be made in advance on the Council Website. There will be no Unit walk-ins accepted the day of the event. Registration for the Camporee will close October 9, On-site check-in will begin on Friday October 13th at 6:30pm. All vehicles must be parked in assigned parking areas. Based on road conditions you may have to hike your equipment to the site. Plan accordingly! All scouts are to carry water with them. Scouts will return to their campsite for lunch and all station activities will close for lunch. 6 6 Recognition All pre-registered participants will receive a Mystical Hideout patch suitable for pocket hanging on their uniform. Presidents Meeting A crew Advisor and their crews president is invited to the President's Meeting to receive information regarding the activities. Venturing Feast Saturday s dinner will be in the dining hall. Every crew needs to prepare a dish to share. There are lots of dutch oven recipes online! This feast will also include a non-denominational scouts own service as a venturer is Reverent. **If your crew has a Chaplain's Aid and would like to speak They are more than welcome to participate. Ice Cream Social / Movie Night After the venturing feast we are having an Ice Cream Social and a movie night. The featured film is Fantastic Beasts and where to find them.

7 7 Paperwork and Check-In list Medforms Your medforms MUST be current to participate The crew advisor MUST have all their members health forms with them at the camp. This is Parts A&B Kayaking TO USE THE KAYAKS / CANOES ON BSA PROPERTY YOU MUST PASS THE SWIM TEST AND BE CLASSIFIED AS A SWIMMER. ADVISORS MUST BRING PROOF OF SWIMMER FOR THEIR CREW. IF THE PERSON DOES NOT HAVE PROOF OF SWIMMER OR THEIR MEDFORM PARTS A&B YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE THE BOATS. THESE ARE BSA GUIDELINES!! C.O.P.E Course Each participant will need their medform parts A & B at the camp to participate. Availability to use the COPE course will be limited to the number of certified staff available.
