3 New this year: Stations will be set up on a compass course. Scouts will be given new coordinates at each station to get to the next station. This will also meet the requirement for the one-mile compass course. Bring your compasses! Activities to look forward to: 1. Knots / Lashing 2. First Aid (use what you have) 3. Scouting History 4. Morgan's Game (one of the very first scout games) 5. Radio (HAM) 6. Archery and, or Hatchet throwing 7. Scout Games 8. Gold Panning 9. Signaling / Codes 10. Team building exercises 11. Service Project Registration and Fees Cost: $10.00 per Boy Scout youth and $10.00 per adult (free for adults that help with a station) $5.00 per WEBELOS Scout and Adult. WEBELOS may participate in age appropriate activities and are invited Saturday-Sunday. Fees are used to cover all expenses for the weekend including Camporee patch, awards, activity stations, and cracker barrel Check-in & Registration: All units will need to check in when entering camp. Please have all registration forms completed and ready to turn in upon arrival. 4 Equipment: Each unit must furnish their own camping gear as well as the equipment that is required to participate in these events. See Boy Scout Handbook and Webelos Scout Book. Plan for inclement weather as it is Spring, so plan for rain and cold nights. Also plan for warm days. DO NOT forget your canteen!!! FIRES: We anticipate there will be fires (WOOD) allowed at the campsites in raised fire barrels. Please bring any and all appropriate fire suppression equipment. You may use stoves for cooking meals. Charcoal fires may be permitted if contained and are off the ground, all this unless we are advised of fire restrictions that weekend. Saturday night campfire program: Prepare a scout appropriate short skit, song, or story for the Saturday night campfire. Additional Information: There will be a Campsites inspection on Saturday. Also campsites will be inspected prior to you checking out of camp. Your campsite must be acceptable in order for you to receive your patches. We will try to have a First Aid Station with a certified medically trained person on site. This person will be located at the camp headquarters or via a camp radio. Water is available onsite. PACK and Carry water Hydrate or Die! or at least be miserable and not have a good time. Be Prepared - carry in your daypack the items you will need for the day. Consider the Scout Outdoor essentials in the Field Manual.

5 2016 Spring Camporee GENERAL RULES & GUIDELINES 1. Registration forms and fees for all participants must be turned in before you participate in the activities on Saturday. 2. Per National Boy Scout policies this is a smoke free event. No Smoking in the camporee area. 3. National policies require each unit must have two-deep leadership for any Boy Scout event. Webelos that will be spending the night must have one parent per scout. Webelos that will not be spending the night must have a minimum of two leaders present and must maintain a one leader to every four scout s ratio. (i.e. 3 Webelos must have 2 adult leaders, 10 Webelos must have 3 adult leaders, etc.) 4. Webelos adult leaders will be expected to be with their Webelos during activities on Saturday. 5. A strict observance and adherence to the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and the Outdoor Code, is necessary for the success of this event. 6. All scouts must follow the buddy system. 7. Troops must bring containers for water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning. There is water on site. 8. All scouts are expected to wear their Dress uniforms during all flag ceremonies and Campfires. 9. Guns, weapons, sheath knives, non-scout gear are not permitted at camp. 10. The Boy Scout goal is "Low Impact, and we want to respect the public and private land we are using. Please utilize all your "Leave No Trace camping skills. Bring your own trash bags and keep the campsite clean. Pack your trash in and pack your trash out. PRACTICE LEAVE NO TRACE! 11. Upon arrival at campsite, please drop off your equipment and remove vehicles to the designated parking area. 12. Units must be courteous to others. Following Taps please go to Quiet Mode. It is preferred that you adhere to Taps" by implementing "lights out". 13. Absolutely no scout should be riding in the back of pickup trucks!! This is not permitted by Boy Scout National Policies and is a very unsafe habit to get into.

Time/Place of Return: It is over at about 10:00 AM on Sunday after we load up equipment. In addition, for the Parents that want to, they can come out to the site on Saturday for campfire. Any Scout that needs a ride will be brought home, after all equipment is loaded and the campsite is cleaned up and inspected. Call on His Cell Phone for any questions at I give permission to the leaders of the above unit to render First Aid, should the need arise. In the event of an emergency, I also give permission to the physician, selected by the adult leader in charge, to hospitalize, secure proper anesthesia, order injection, or secure other medical treatment, as needed. I further agree to hold the above named unit and its leaders blameless for any accidents that might occur during this outing except for clear acts of negligence or non-adherence to BSA policies and guidelines.
