Only in this way can each event run smoothly and keep reasonably within the time constraints. It is expected that senior scouts (ages 14 17) will be involved in running the events. Only scouts (ages 11 13) will compete in the morning competitions. Each event will be run and judged by senior scouts with the assistance of an experienced scouter. The decision of the judges will be final and we do mean FINAL! It is important that at least one adult be in your campsite at all times. 1. Ground fires all fires must be in burn barrels or equivalent (4) fire rings are available, on a first come first served basis. 2. Only one fire per campsite. 3. Fire pits must have water for emergencies. 4. NO fires shall be left unattended. 5. DO NOT CUT LIVE TREES firewood is available in the woods for our use. Please bring firewood for your campsite. 6. Propane lanterns should be in a fixed location. DO NOT carry them about. No liquid fuels. 7. No open flames allowed in or near tents. 8. First Aid Kit must be displayed and easily accessible in the troop area. 9. Tour Permit not required. 10. Troop roster, schedule and rules must be posted in campsite. 11. Troop Roster two copies of troop roster must be presented a registration. 12. Medical conditions any scout or scouter that has a medical problem should notify the staff at registration. 13. Water is available at the site; troops must provide their own containers. 14. No electronic devices allowed, no comic books, no cards, etc. 15. No sheath knives are permitted by anyone.
7 16. No alcoholic beverages allowed at anytime. 17. Uniforms this is a BSA uniform event; all scouts and Scouters are expected to be in uniform during the camporee. Class A for colors; class B for competitions. 18. Each troop will be responsible for the actions of their scouts. The Scout Oath and Scout Law are the order of the day. 19. There must be two (2) adult registered Scouters present at all times during the entire Camporee; one must be 21 years old. 20. All visitors must leave the Camporee immediately after the campfire. 21. Picnic tables (10) are available, on a first come first serve basis. Camp chairs are always useful. 22. Fishing ponds and lakes are OFF LIMITS for this event.
8 Night Watch overnight vigil: Special Activities What is Night Watch? Night Watch is an all night vigil in which two scouts may volunteer to stay up for two-hour increments to keep our council fire burning through out the night. The two scouts should be from the same troop. It is best if they share the same tent. The time slots will be assigned on a random basis. Cooking competition; International, your choice The dinner meal will be judged, if you request. The theme is Italian. Presentation is everything. All food must be prepared at your campsite, by the scouts. Campsite Inspection and Gateway: Campsite will be inspected sometime during the day. They will be judged among other things on: house keeping, site layout, posting of duty roster, presentation of colors, fire pit, woods tools, gateway, etc.
