1 Partnership opportunities 2018 QRC/WIMARQ International Women s Day Breakfast & Resources Awards for Women incorporating the Inspire!Convention Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre 8 March 2018 A professional development day for women in Queensland s resources sector The 13th annual International Women s Day Breakfast and Resources Awards for Women (RAW) will incorporate the highly acclaimed Inspire!Convention. Presented by the Queensland Resources Council (QRC) in association with Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ), the combined events provide an exceptional professional development day for women working in Queensland s resources sector, while recognising and promoting their achievements. The breakfast and awards form part of the QRC s Women in Resources Action Plan to increase the proportion of women in Queensland s resources sector to at least 20 percent in non-traditional roles by The event provides a platform to develop female ambassadors, role models and mentors to aid the attraction, retention and development of women in the resources sector. Partnering with us will demonstrate your company s commitment to gender diversity before an audience of up to 1000 people across Queensland. This includes more than 300 people who will participate in regional events via a live webcast from Brisbane. in non-traditional roles. Your company s support for these events provides a valuable adjunct its own diversity programs and highlights its commitment to gender diversity, which is proven to be a competitive advantage in global business. A powerful cohort of previous RAW winners will provide the foundation for the Inspire!Convention. A panel session, moderated by Rachael Robertson will draw out their combined wisdom and provide plenty of opportunity for audience questions and interaction. This will be followed by workshops on personal branding and negotiation skills by leading specialists in these areas. The convention will also offer networking opportunities, including the finale networking cocktails event to round off the day. Keynote speaker for this year will the Rachael Robertson (CSP, MBA), an Antarctic expedition leader, best-selling author and Australia s pre-eminent authority on extreme hip.
