4 GREEN EXPO 2016 SURVEY RESPONSE Many exhibitors & members responded to the Green Expo survey, providing valuable information for future planning. Below is a summary of the survey results; - 75% of exhibitors participated in survey - Majority prefer expo to be held in late July or early August - Majority prefer expo to be open on Tuesday & Wednesday - Majority do not want extended opening hours on day 2 All suggestions provided will be reviewed by the Green Expo committee as preparations progress for 2017 & beyond. GREEN EXPO 2017 RULES 1. EVENT DESCRIPTION This event is known as Green Expo VENUE Green Expo 2017 will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach. 3. EXPO STANDS a) SIZE - Stands will be offered in different sizes as per the application form. NGIQ may vary the size of any stand to suit the overall expo layout. No Exhibitor shall be allocated multi-corner stands without adjacent stands. Stands must be constructed to the allocated stand size. NGIQ may evict Exhibitors and/or remove any stands where construction is not within allocated stand area. b) CONSTRUCTION - Each stand will be constructed by the Exhibitor and/or Contractor in a workmanlike manner and in accordance with normal safety precautions. All packing containers, boxes etc. must be removed from expo stands by exhibitors. NGIQ will monitor stand construction to ensure the safety precautions are adhered to. 4. AISLE SPACE All aisle space is under the control of NGIQ and must not be blocked or used in any way for display purposes. 5. RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE NGIQ or the venue will not accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to property of exhibitors, their agents or employees. Exhibitors agree to indemnify and hold harmless NGIQ and the venue from any and all claims, damage and liability of any kind, whether for injury to persons or damage to property arising directly or indirectly out of the Exhibitor's use and occupancy at the Venue. 6. SETTING UP/PULLING DOWN Exhibitors will set up between 10.00am and 4.00pm on Monday 24 July. Exhibitors may re enter the Expo after 8.00am Tuesday 25 July and Wednesday 26 July. All stock must remain on stand until 1.00pm Wednesday 26 July. Buyers may remove stock from 1.00pm Wednesday 26 July. Exhibitors will not dismantle their stands before 1.00pm or before Buyers have departed. All displays must be dismantled on Wednesday 26 July An indicative bump in schedule for Loading Dock access will be prepared by NGIQ and distributed to exhibitors by no later than 17 July GOODS EXHIBITED Exhibitors of greenlife must be current members of NGIQ or their state NGI. NGIQ will have the discretionary right to preserve a ratio of nurseries to allied traders and to remove any inappropriate product or display items from stands. Exhibitors may not sell product or distribute material including price lists or business cards on behalf of other businesses not exhibiting separately at Green Expo without written permission from NGIQ. Except with the permission of NGIQ, exhibited stock may not for any reason, be removed from Green Expo during expo open hours. 8. STAND ALLOCATION PROCEDURE Green Expo Sponsors receive priority selection and are required to advise preferred stand locations by Monday 20 February Exhibitor registrations open at 9am on Monday 27 February Exhibitor registrations will not be accepted prior to Monday 27 February Preferred stand allocations may be requested and NGIQ will allocate accordingly, subject to availability. Exhibitor stands will be allocated in the order that registrations are received with priority given to exhibitors from Green Expo NGIQ reserves the right to allocate all stands and will remain subject to availability. 9. POWER AND LIGHTING General lighting will be provided by the venue at the discretion of NGIQ. One standard power point is included in each stand. 10. WITHDRAWALS & CANCELLATION Deposit payment of $200 is non-refundable. Cancellations will be accepted without charge where NGIQ has been notified in writing at least 21 working days prior to scheduled commencement date. 11. INSURANCE Exhibitors must provide a Certificate of Currency to NGIQ prior to Green Expo This certificate must show insurance cover including public liability cover to suit their individual requirements. NGIQ and the Venue accepts no responsibility in respect to stands.
