The rail line will be pened early 2015, twelve mnths ahead f schedule and under budget. Minister fr Transprt, The Hn Gladys Berejiklian MP als annunced a plan t extend the rail line frm Narellan t the prpsed Badgerys Creek Airprt. 14 bridges alng the Suth West Rail Link between Glenfield and Leppingtn have nw been cmpleted, marking anther imprtant milestne in the majr infrastructure prject. Each f these crssings has been a significant achievement - the 80-metre Hume Highway underpass fr example was cnstructed while tens f thusands f drivers passed verhead. There is apprximately 1.3 kilmetres f bridges alng the Glenfield t Leppingtn rail line cmpnent f the Suth West Rail Link. All bridges have been designed t allw fr future rad widening if required. Since the NSW Liberals & Natinals came t Gvernment in 2011, we have wrked tirelessly t restre NSW public finances and transfrm the state s ecnmy. In the past three years we have supprted the creatin f 127,000 jbs in NSW and nw bast the secnd-lwest unemplyment rate in Australia. We have als prtected the AAA credit rating whilst investing in the three pillars that I identified in three Budgets: Imprving frntline services with ver 5,000 additinal nurses, teachers and plice fficers; Delivering vital infrastructure investing a recrd $60 billin ver fur years fr lcal prjects such as; Upgrade f Camden Valley Way Widening f Narellan Rad Suth West Rail Link at Leppingtn Upgrade f The Nrthern Rad Upgrade f Campbelltwn Hspital Fr further infrmatin n the NSW Gvernment s achievements g t achievements Prtecting the vulnerable NSW was the first state t sign up t Natinal Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). During my 20 years f Military Service (Army) I served in bth Brne and Suth Vietnam and I have many memries f thse times, sme gd, sme bad. My thughts are ften taken back t thse times and the great men I served with, thse wh sadly did nt return hme and thse wh did cme hme with the many and varied wunds and mental issues. Many f these men have since passed away and they are greatly missed by their fellw sldiers and their families. During my service I nly marched ccasinally and then nly with my unit at the time. Since the 1987 Welcme Hme Parade fr ur Vietnam Veterans I have prudly marched every year in the Camden ANZAC Day march with the exceptin f ne year when I marched in the Sydney parade. Nw, when pssible, I march with my beautiful daughter Tara wh is a serving member f the Ryal Australian Navy. Tara marches in ANZAC Day marches alng with her fellw servicemen and wmen whereever she is psted but always prefers t cme t Camden and jin ur Veterans. ANZAC Day t me is a day f quiet reflectin and nt s much a celebratin. May Gallipli NEVER be frgtten! LEST WE FORGET Lcal Wmen Recgnised fr Their Vlunteering Chris awarded tw very special lcal wmen with the 2014 NSW Cmmunity Service Awards fr their nging vlunteering amng ur cmmunity. June Hldswrth s cntributin t the Camden Cmmunity is inspiring. June has been a member f the Camden Liness Club fr the past 33 years. June als vlunteers at the Carringtn Nursing Hme, Camden District Activity Centre, Meals n Wheels and serves n the Tidy Twn Cmmittee. June als knits clthes fr premature babies. June is a stalwart f the Camden Cmmunity, always helping ut wherever she can. Neidra Hill was respnsible fr the instigatin f the Macarthur Sftball in The club has grwn t be ne f the mst respected sftball clubs in NSW. Neidra persnally planted the trees n the current hme grund t give much needed shade t the cmpetitrs and spectatrs. Neidra was als invlved in the establishment f the Macarthur Hckey Club. The ftball club was established in 2012 t cater fr children with special needs and prvide a facility fr them t play in a nn-cmpetitive envirnment. Little Sandy Bridge Opened The new Little Sandy Bridge was pened n May after the ld bridge was clsed due t majr fld damage in March The bridge prvides a link fr residents frm the Camden Cycleway t Elderslie. The centre is run by Dennys and Maria Martinez in cnjunctin with Camden Cuncil. The hme envirnment prvides nurturing, educatinal and therapeutic care fr the children. Early diagnsis and interventin leads t significant imprvement utcmes fr the children.
