The buyers of today are far better informed than ever, with the ability to research the lots and carry out their due diligence before buying. Personally, I can t see the sense in an Auctioneer catalogues with overpriced property and only selling a small percentage. It doesn t make economic sense after spending time and money marketing, knowing full well it hasn t a chance of selling, and then, some Auctioneers ask a client to withdraw a lot to improve their success rate. Buyers are seeing through this - you can see from the results. It also creates bad feeling with a Client as they haven t been told the truth and makes them unlikely ever consider using auctions again.
