TRADE The vendors trade the business at arm s length with a house keeper based on the Island to turnaround the cottages after being let. Operating year-round, the main season is from Easter to October, attracting a variety of tourists to include cyclists, walkers or those just enjoying a more leisurely holiday taking advantage of the natural beauty of the Island. The cottages are on the local bus route, a 10-minute drive from the ferry terminal and an 18 minute drive to the airport. THE PROPERTY The property is easily located adjacent to the Isle of Barra Beach Hotel and accessed via a tarmac drive off the A888. The cottages are of block construction under a profile sheet metal pitched roof. The building has a footprint of 70m2. The accommodation is mainly set to the ground floor with one bedroom on the first floor. The subjects have stunning views towards the sea at one side and open views across fields in the other direction. THE COTTAGES The business trades with two letting units dating to 1993 but have been extensively refurbished and modernized in recent times. The letting units face South West, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with direct access to the adjacent white sands of Halaman Bay and a secluded rocky cove. Each unit has grounds and a drying area. There is parking for up to 2 cars on the tarmac driveway adjacent to each letting unit. SERVICES The subjects benefit from mains electricity and water with drainage to septic tank. The cottages benefit from central heating via electric radiators which were installed in Electric is used for cooking in the letting units. All accommodation units are double glazed.
