1 Holiday Home in Ponte a Serraglio, Bagni di Lucca, Tuscany Detached Stone House with Views of the Lima River Superb Location, Secluded but Close to Amenities Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms) Property description Casa del Fiume is a property retaining its original features. It is arranged on 2 levels with a bathroom and 2 double bedrooms on the 1st floor, on of which has lovely views over the River Lima. The ground floor consists of a living room, kitchen and dining area. There is room, in the cantina, to store your skis or bikes, should you wish to bring them. The house sleeps 4 comfortably. A complimentary food hamper and a selection of wines are provided for your enjoyment. The surrounding area has some fantastic walks and treks which is perfect if you are a keen walker or mountain biker. There are numerous activities available within a close proximity and a restaurant and bar are just 5/10 minutes away on foot. Cookery courses are available locally as are: horse riding, fishing and tennis. 3 outdoor swimming pools, fed by the thermal springs in Bagni di Lucca, are a welcome addition to an active and relaxing holiday.

3 Accommodation description Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed, bedside tables and wardrobe with drawers under. Hairdryer. Bedroom 2 with twin beds, with bedside table and wardrobe with drawers under. Bathrooms: Bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and basin. Kitchen: Cooker, fridge(with a small freezer compartment), microwave oven, kettle, toaster and coffee making facilities. Utility Room: Washing machine including an area to dry clothes on inclement days and room store bikes, skis etc. Living Rooms: Open fire with lounge and dining seating for 4. A TV, DVD player and a Playstation2 games console are provided and DVDs and Playstation games are supplied. Books are also provided. Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service: All rates include linen and towels, however, towels are not provided for use in the local swimming pools or swimming in the river. We, therefore, kindly ask you to bring your own towels if you wish to use those facilities. Amenities/Facilities: Barbecue. Washing Machine, Oven, Microwave, Iron, Hob/Stove, Fridge. TV, High Chair, Cot, Central Heating. Important notes on accommodation Children are most welcome, however, care must be taken with the little ones as the stairs are made of stone. A cot, high chair and changing mat can be provided, if required.

Stay (Nights) 1 December February March May June August September May June August September May About the area Accessibility Some elderly residents do live in the area and Casa del Fiume is suitable for elderly guests provided that they are mobile and able to walk with ease. There are a number of steps to the property so, regrettably, the house is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems. Outside There is a balcony, which is a perfect place to have a lovely glass of wine or cup of coffee. The garden has a table and chairs, for alfresco dining and a barbecue. Plum trees grow in the garden and you are most welcome to help yourself when they are in season. Coast/Beach Viareggio, is approximately 50km (30 miles) away and the Versillian coastline offers some lovely beaches. Skiing Abetone is only 45 minutes by car and is a lovely resort, whether you are an experienced skier or a novice. There are numerous ski schools and shops offering equipment for hire. The routes are well laid out and are not over busy, unlike some of the resorts in the Alps. Car parking is close with a number of parking area. Ski competitions are often held, which are exciting to watch or take part in!

5 How to get there Pisa is the nearest airport and is just an hour away, 60km or (40 miles). Fornoli in Bagni di Lucca has a train station with a direct line to Lucca. Ideally a car is recommended, however, buses are close by and it is relatively easy to get to your tourist destinations. Distances Approximate distances. Bagni di Lucca 0.5 miles (1km) - 2 minutes by car. Fornoli 0.5 miles (1km) - 2 minutes by car. Lucca 14 miles (2 km) - 30 minutes. Pisa 35 miles (56km). Further Details 5 minutes down the road, along the River Lima, there is a restaurant Da Vinicio. This provides good lunchtime and evening meals and is reasonably priced. Bar Italia, is 30 seconds further on in the Piazza of Ponte a Serraglio and provides lunchtime meals, again, reasonably priced. Il Monaco provides some lovely patisseries and delicious ice creams. There is another restaurant called Brunos and has a more formal feel and is just off of the piazza. Across the road bridge a small grocers can be found. Supermarkets can be found 2 minutes further on in Bagni di Lucca or Fornoli in the opposite directions. Both have several bars and restaurants for you to try. Booking notes A deposit of will be required on booking and the remainder to be received 8 weeks prior to the date of your arrival. Should you wish to cancel the booking, at any time, then 80% of the deposit will be refunded provided we receive written notification 8 weeks prior to your arrival. An additional security deposit of will be required with your booking and this will be refunded within 10 days of your return home, provided there are no breakages or damage to the property.
