For more information, contact our website Click on the SFPD link and then the "apply" link. The recruitment units can be reached at ARRESTS: 06/10/06 7:08 am 700 block of Anderson Sgt. Martha Juarez was patrolling the 700 block of Anderson due to numerous complaints about criminal activity. She encountered a suspicious individual on the middle of the block who appeared to be drinking from a large vodka bottle. The suspect, who lives on the 600 block of Madrid, was in violation of a stayaway order. The sergeant arrested him and took him to Ingleside Station. Case # /10/06 7:20 am 379 Coleridge Officer Marion Campion-Healy stopped a vehicle in front of 379 Coleridge for impeding the flow of traffic. The driver, who lives on the 200 block of Capp, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1993 Ford was towed. Case # /10/06 Noon Mission and Santa Rosa Officer Amy Hurwitz stopped a vehicle at Mission and Santa Rosa for failing to stop for a pedestrian. The driver, who lives in Richmond, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 2005 Nissan was towed. Case # /10/06 2:00 pm 5300 block of Mission Officer Amy Hurwitz was notified by a victim of an auto theft that his

2 vehicle was seen being driven on the 5300 block of Mission. The officer started a meticulous search for the vehicle and suddenly saw the stolen car being driven by a suspect near Norton Street. She followed the vehicle to a parking lot nearby where the suspect exited the vehicle and refused the officer's commands to stop. The officer attempted to take the suspect into custody but he pushed her and ran away into a nearby Kragen's store on Mission street. Numerous Ingleside officers responded to the scene with Officers Mitchell Campbell and Jason Acosta finding the suspect hiding in a second floor storage area. The suspect, who lives on the first block of Allison, violently resisted arrest and was finally taken into custody. He was arrested for auto theft, receiving stolen property. possession of prohibited weapon and narcotics paraphenalia as well as resisting arrest. Case # /10/06 5:00 pm Cortland and Bayshore Officers Dan Silver and Chad Campos were on plainclothes patrol when they spotted a vehicle at Mission and Randall that resembled a vehicle that had been used in a robbery. They followed the vehicle to Cortland and Bayshore and with the assistance of Officer Richard Trujillo conducted a traffic stop for expired registration. They then contacted the driver, who has an address on the 200 block of Blythdale and the 100 block of Addison. The driver is on parole for using a weapon to assault a victim during the course of a robbery. A search of the vehicle revealed cocaine and heroin and the suspect was arrested. Searches were then conducted at the suspect's two addresses with ammunition found at the Blythdale address. The suspect was booked on numerous charges including a parole violation. Case # /10/06 6:00 pm San Jose and Dolores Officers Tom Ramirez and Wendy Bear stopped a vehicle at Dolores and San Jose that had been taken in a carjacking. There were two occupants in the car who live on Majestic and Oakdale. The investigation is continuing by Inspectors in the Robbery Detail. The occupants were cited for driving with a suspended license and possession of narcotics paraphenalia. Case # /10/06 6:05 pm Geneva and Mission Officer Wendy Bear stopped a vehicle at Geneva and Mission for impeding the flow of traffic. The driver, who lives on Cesar Chavez, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1994 GMC was towed. Case # /10/06 7:00 pm Sunnydale and Rutland

3 Officers Mitchell Campbell and Jason Acosta spotted a vehicle go through a stop sign at Sunnydale and Rutland. They followed the vehicle which failed to yield to them and went through a red light. The vehicle finally stopped on the 2600 block of Bayshore. The driver, who lives on the 1300 block of Goettingen, stated that he did not stop because his license was suspended. He was found to be in possession of cocaine. He was arrested on a multitude of charges and his 2006 Pontiac was towed. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone The Cayuga Improvement Association meets tonight at 7:00 pm at the Cayuga Clubhouse. The Bernal Heights Park Association meets tonight at the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, 515 Cortland at 6:45 pm. ARRESTS: 06/11/06 12:39 am Geneva and Cayuga Officer Robert Toomey stopped a vehicle at Geneva and Cayuga for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the first block of Blythdale, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1987 Honda was towed. Case # /11/06 2:05 pm 200 block of Hahn Officers Shawn Fulgado and Mike Androvich spotted a wanted fugitive walking south on Hahn near Sunnydale. When the suspect saw the officers he ducked into a residence neareby. The officers obtained consent to search the residence and found the suspect, who lives on the 200 block of Blythdale, hiding behind a door. He was arrested on a no bail escape warrant from jail. Case # /11/06 2:10 pm Monterey and Baden Officer Andrea Calahane stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives in San Pablo, was unlicensed and uninsured and had no identification. He was arrested and his 1987 Toyota was towed. Case # /11/06 5:00 pm Highland and Mission Officers Melonee Alvarez and Richard Trujillo stopped a vehicle at Highland

5 and Mission after being alerted that the vehicle and occupants were acting suspiciously on the 1700 block of Noe. When the officers approached the vehicle they smelled marijuana. The driver gave a phony name but the officers conducted and investigation and found his true identity. The suspect, who lives on the 2500 block of Sutter, was wanted on numerous vehicular warrants including a no bail warrant from Contra Costa County for driving with a suspended license. His 1991 Chevrolet was towed. Case # This was excellent proactive police work. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone The Ingleside Police Station Visitacion Valley Community meeting will be held tonight, June 14th at 6:00 pm at the Clubhouse, Cora and Leland. 2. The Excelsior Action Group transportation and land use committees will meet on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 32 Ocean at 6:30 and 7:30 pm. ARRESTS: 06/12/06 8:16 am 100 block of Park Officers Albert Duarte, Edward To and Michael Walsh went to the 100 block of Park where an adult son had attacked a cat and then beat his elderly father as well as other family members. The officersd arrested the son for battery, elder abuse and resisting arrest. Case # /12/06 12:30 pm 400 block of Raymond Officers Mitchell Campbell and Jason Acosta went to the 400 block of Ryamond, Visitacion Valley Middle School and arrested a student who lives on the 200 block of Holloway for possession of an air gun and knife. Case # /12/06 1:55 pm Highway 280 and Geneva Officer Jude Rand stopped a vehicle for a red light violation. The driver, who lives on the first block of Florentine, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1995 Toyota was towed. Case # /12/06 3:02 pm 4770 Mission Officer Ramon Davila stopped a vehicle at 4770 Mission street for an accident investigation. The driver, who lives on the first block of Curtis, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1996 Dodge was towed. Case #

7 06/12/06 3:19 pm Mission and Excelsior Officers Dan Gibbs and Andy Cox observed a suspect drinking alcohol in public and walking across Mission street without benefit of a crosswalk. They stopped the resident of the 1300 block of 16th avenue and arrested him for a domestic violence warrant. Case # /12/06 5:00 pm Mission and Cesar Chavez Officer Jude Rand stopped a vehicle for a yield violation. The driver, who lives in Belmont, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1997 Volvo was towed. Case # /12/06 5:00 pm Geneva and London Officer Craig Wlson stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a pedestrian. The driver, who lives in Daly City, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 2003 Ford was towed. Case # /12/06 5:01 pm Gates and Crescent Officers Dan Gibbs and Andy Cox were patrolling in plainclothes in the Alemany Housing development when they spotted a suspect acting suspiciously. They lost site of him but then saw him again at Gates and Crescent. A warrant check revealed a no bail domestic violence warrant for the resident of the 1200 block of Buchanan. He violently resisted arrest, was subdued and taken to jail. Case # /12/06 5:22 pm Lansdale and Robinhood Officers Chad Campos and Dan Silver spotted a vehicle with a cracked windshield go through a stop sign. They stopped the driver and found her to be quite nervous. She could not give her address and answered other questions in an equivocal manner. The officers determined that the resident of Tracy was in possession of methamphetamine, paraphenalia and was holding a stolen credit card. She was arrested on numerous charges. Case # /12/06 10:30 pm 100 block of Brookdale Officers Richard Trujillo and Salvador Perez went to the 100 block of Brookdale and arrested a husband for beating his wife and sister with a coat hanger and his fists. The resident of the 1900 block of 34th avenue was booked on two felony charges. Case #

Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone ARRESTS: 06/13/06 11:24 am 300 block of South Hill Officers Ana Lee and Jason Acosta went to the 300 block of South Hill where a wife had slammed a glass against her husband's heard causing lacerations. The wife was arrested on two felony counts. Case # /13/06 1:05 pm 2900 block of Alemany Officers Josh Kumli and Dan Gibbs went to a supermarket on the 2900 block of Alemany where two employees had been in a fight and one, who lives on the 300 block of 14th street, had slashed the other's stomach with a box cutter. The suspect was booked for felony assault. Case # /13/06 3:45 pm 100 block of Joost Officer Amy Hurwitz went to the 100 block of Joost on a complaint of two people acting suspiciously in a vehicle. The officer went to the scene and observed two people smoking marijuana. When she questioned them she found that one was on parole for narcotics sales. Both suspects were combative so Officers Phillip Fowler, Mike Peregoy, Anthony LaRocca and Maris Goldsborough responded. Ultimately, two suspects with no permanent local addresses were arrested for possession of marijuana for sale, and narcotics paraphenalia. The driver was unlicensed so her 1982 Honda was towed. Case # /13/06 5:20 pm Mission and Santa Rosa Officer Craig Wilson stopped a vehicle at Mission and Santa Rosa for failing to yield to a pedestrian. The driver, who lives in Oakley, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1987 Nissan was towed. Case # /13/06 6:27 pm 200 block of Maynard

10 Officers Jude Rand, Phillip Fowler and Mike Peregoy stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives in South San Francisco, was driving with a suspended license and had a warrant for his arrest for the same thing. He was arrested and his 1990 Toyota was towed. Case # /13/05 7:05 pm th Street Officers Anthony LaRocca, Maris Goldsborough, Salvador Perez and Luis Tillan went to 29th and Church of a report of a person with a weapon on the bus. The bus driver pointed down 29th street to a suspect who the officers detained. The resident of the 200 block of Hearst was in possession of brass knuckles. He was arrested. Case # /13/06 11:15 pm Mission and Excelsior Officers Daniel Silver and Chad Campos were on plainclothes patrol in the Mission and Excelsior area monitoring gang members in the neighborhood. They spotted a suspect in gang colors loitering in front of a store. The suspect was nervously pacing back and forth. The officers stopped the suspect and found that he was in possession of suspected cocaine. Te resident of San Rafael was arrested. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone ARRESTS: 06/14/06 4:00 pm Hilton and Cortland Officers Kirk Yin and Craig Dong were in the Cortland and Hilton area due to community complaints about drug use and alcohol consumption in public. They encountered three suspects. One suspect, who resides on the 600 block of Peralta, was in possession of marijuana and paraphenalia. He also had a misdemeanor warrant from Daly City. A second suspect who lives on Pinehurst, was wanted for warrants for driving with a suspended license and hit & run. A third suspect from the 500 block of Gates was cited for drinking in public. Case # /14/06 4:06 pm 4950 Mission Officers Jason Acosta and Mitchell Campbell observed a person loitering in the Safeway parking lot at 4950 Mission Street. The resident of Burlingame was arrested on warrants charging driving with a suspended license. Case # /14/06 5:00 pm Shelley and Cambridge Officers Howard Brown and Valerie Altamirano encountered five suspicious persons in a vehicle in McLaren Park. The arrested one resident of Crescent for possession of marijuana and a warrant for driving with a suspended license. A second suspect from San Mateo was cited for possession of

12 marijuana. Case # /14/06 6:05 pm Amazon and London Officer Luis Tillan stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the first block of Naples, was driving with a suspended license and was uninsured. He was cited and his 1988 Dodge was towed. Case # /14/06 7:50 pm 4947 Mission Officers Phillip Fowler and Mike Peregoy responded to the 4900 block of Mission on a complaint of persons smoking marijuana on some steps. They cited a juvenile resident of the 200 block of Blythdale for possession of marijuana. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone ARRESTS: 06/15/06 12:45 am 5740 Mission Officers Julian Hermosura and Rommel Baldovino went to a tavern on the 5700 block of Mission street where an inebriate had been told to leave and was combative. The resident of Clearlake Oak, California was arrested for drunk and a warrant for the same thing from the Alameda County Sheriff. Case # /15/06 6:18 am San Jose and Cesar Chavez Officer Amalia Barcena stopped a vehicle at San Jose and Cesar Chavez for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 500 block of San Jose, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1997 Plymouth was towed. Case # /15/06 10:20 am 1500 block of Sunnydale Officers Raul Mendieta, Joe Giannini, Rich Morgante, Rosalyn Rouede and Bud Massey went to the 1500 block of Sunnydale where a victim had been cut by a knife after a violent fight amongst three parties. Ultimately, and after an investigation two suspects, one of whom lives on the first block of Blythdale and the other in San Pablo, were arrested for felony assault and parole violations. Case # /15/06 2:14 pm Hilton and Cortland Officers Dan Gibbs and Andy Cox went to Hilton and Cortland, an area notorious for drug use and alcohol consumption. They observed what appeared to be narcotics activity. The arrested one suspect who lives on the 1900 block of Jerrold for drinking in public and a warrant for the same thing. A second suspect, who lives on the first block of Boutwell, was in possession of heroin. Case # /15/06 3:00 pm Geneva and Mission

14 Officers Howard Brown, Valerie Altamirano, Wendy Frisk, Rickey Williams, Andrea Calahane and Sgt. David Dorantes responded to a call of a rowdy suspect on a muni bus waving a firearm. The officers located the suspect and witnesses and found a replica gun in the rear of the bus. The suspect, who lives on the 200 block of Moscow, was booked for felony threats and brandishing. Case # /15/06 3:22 pm Persia and Naples Officers Kirk Yin and Craig Dong stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation. The driver, who lives in Oakland, was uninsured and driving with a suspended license. The officers found a firearm in the side compartment of a door. The suspect was cited and his 1993 Lexus was towed. Case # /15/06 4:40 pm Mission and Tingley Officer Wayman Young stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 200 block of Central, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 2006 Subaru was towed. 16 ARRESTS: 06/16/06 2:07 am Silver and Congdon Sgt. Gabe Gallaread stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 3000 block of San Bruno was unlicensed and uninsured. She was cited and her 1993 Ford was towed. case # /16/06 10:01 am Bayshore and Arleta Officers Edward To and Mike Walsh checked on the well being of a sleeper. The suspect, who lives on the 400 block of Sunnydale, was wanted on four misdemeanor warrants. Case # /16/06 4:09 pm 100 block of Garrison Officers Howard Brown and Valerie Alatmirano settled a dispute between two parties and then were given consent to enter a residence on the 100 block of Garrison.
