After their crime the men jumped into a van and tried to drive away but were stopped. Inside the van was a bag of woman s clothing and a purse. The owner of the car was located and she identified the clothes and the purse belonging to her. Both men were read their rights and they stated that while one of them was acting as a lookout, the other saw a purse lying on the floor of the car and broke into it. Both men were booked for auto burglary and conspiracy. One of the arrested men has an open court case for the same exact crime. Although, one should not have their car broken into we ask people to help themselves by not leaving valuables in plain view in their cars. Officer Villanueva retrieved several hypodermic needles from the subject s pants and jacket. Officer Villanueva then placed the subject under arrest. An arrest search revealed two clear bags containing a brown powder-like substance.
