Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone ARRESTS: 09/09/06 8:05 am 5000 block of Mission Officers Ana Lee, Jean Etcheveste and Marion Campion-Healy went to a hotel on the 5000 block of Mission on a dispute. A suspect there, who lives on the 100 block of Golden Gate was wanted on a trespassing warrant. Case # /09/06 Noon 900 block of Ellsworth Officers Maria Alvarado, Richmond Curry, Ivan Chazes, Marion Campion-Healy and Jean Etcheveste went to the 900 block of Ellsworth where two suspects were threatening each other with bodily harm, smashing windows of cars and one was assaulting the other with a knife. After an investigation, the officers arrested one adult suspect who lives on the 900 block of Ellsworth with threats and malicious mischief. A second suspect, a juvenile, who lives on the first block of Heritage was booked for felony assault, domestic violence and malicious mischief. Case # /09/06 12:36 pm 200 block of Joost Officers Dan Gibbs, Andy Cox and Josh Kumli were conducting plainclothes surveillance of a residence on Joost due to multiple complaints from neighbors of drug dealing, noise and wanted fugitives visiting the residence. They observed a possible drug sale and stopped a suspect in a car. A consent search revealed suspected methamphetamine and another drug without a prescription. The suspect, a resident of the 200 block of Hanover, was charged with four crimes. Case # /09/06 12:50 pm Raymond and Arleta Lieutenant Michael Slade stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver, who lives on the 2400 block of Bayshore, was unlicensed. He was

2 cited and his 1997 Ford was towed. Case # /09/06 1:00 pm 3100 block of Folsom Officers Ben Santana, Ana Lee, Michael Walsh, Sgt. Michael Redmond and Sgt. Brian Philpott went to a residence on the 3100 block of Folsom on a drunken and estranged husband trying to break the door down and causing grave concern for minor children. The officers arrested the suspect at the scene for domestic violence, threats and a drunk driving warrant. Case # /09/06 11:45 pm First block of 27th Street Officers Melonee Alvarez and Ann Gamboa stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was determined to be on parole. The resident of the first block of Curtis was in posssession of a "crack" pipe. She was cited for driving with a suspended license, for the crack pipe, an equipment violation and for being uninsured. Her vehicle was towed. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone The Ingleside Police Station/Visitacion Valley Community meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 6:00 pm at the Clubhourse, Cora and Leland. On Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm there will be a Housing Authority sponsored basketball tournament in the Sunnydale Public Housing complex. On Sunday, September 17, 2006 from Noon until 5:00 pm there will be a block party on the 200 block of Gates. ARRESTS: 09/10/06 12:33 am 200 block of Peabody Officers Kevin Lundy, Robert Trujillo, Danielle Weidman and Stephanie Otaguro went to the 200 block of Peabody where a couple had begun a verbal argument over infidelity that had escalated into a domestic violence assault by the male. The officers arrested the suspect for domestic violence and drunk. Case # /10/06 2:15 pm 11 Phelan City College Police, after an investigation, arrested a person who no permanent local address for possessing a concealed knife on campus. Case # /10/06 3:45 pm 1200 block of Girard Officers Mark Monpas, Victor Hui as well as Sergeants Tim Plyer and Hector Sainez went to a fire house near a residence on the 1200 block of Girard after an elderly copuple had complained that their 26 year old son, who constantly smokes crack cocaine, had turned off the power to their residence and committed other acts that threatened their safety. The

8 officers arrested the son for elder abuse, assault, possession of a crack pipe and a warrant for similar offenses. Case # /10/06 7:48 pm 5400 block of Mission Officers Andy Cox and Dan Gibbs were on plainclothes patrol on the 5400 block of Mission when they observed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. A check on the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen. The officers were joined by Officers Jason Acostaand Mike Peregoy. The driver, who lives on the first block of Northridge, was on parole. A search of her person revealed suspected crack cocaine packaged for sale. Case # /10/06 10:00 pm 700 block of Banks Officer Raul Mendieta took a police report at 9:00 am on September 10th from a witness who described a suspect who was on state parole who alluded to making threats to kill her ex-husband and kidnap their children who were in the legal custody of the ex-husband. Officers from Park police station were sent to the 100 block of Carl where the suspect was staying but were unable to find the suspect at that time. Lieutenant Donna Meixner read the original report later that evening and determined that there was an immediate threat to the victim based upon the suspect's actions and her criminal history. She sent Sergeant John Burke and Park Station officers to the 100 block of Carl where they arrested the suspect at 10:00 pm. The suspect was charged with criminal threats, soliciting a crime, domestic violence on a child and a parole violation. ARRESTS: 09/12/06 2:57 am 2200 Bayshore

10 Officer Chris Anderson responded to a fight at 2200 Bayshore. A warrant check revealed that a resident of the 200 block of Eddy had a misdemeanor warrant from Alameda County. Case # /12/06 11:00 am Prentiss Officer Amy Hurwitz responded to a residence on Prentiss where a boyfriend had demanded sex from his girlfriend. When she refused he strangled her, beat her with a baseball bat and then raped her. Officer Hurwitz took the victim and 5 year old child out of the residence and requested assistance. Officers Val Altamirano, Daniel Kroos, Wendy Frisk and Albert Duarte entered the residence and found the suspect sleeping. The suspect was booked on rape, sodomy, domestic violence and parole charges. Case # /12/06 11:11 am 50 Phelan City College Police tried to stop a vehicle where the driver had failed to yield to numerous pedestrians. The driver took off and failed to stop at numerous stop signs and red lights. A pursuit continued onto Highway 280 with the suspect vehicle eventually stopped at 4th and Townsend in traffic. The driver, a resident of the 300 block of Thornton, was arrested for felony evading a police officer and numerous traffic violations. Case # /12/06 12:15 pm Geneva and Naples Two victims were on a muni bus on Geneva near Naples when two suspects sat down next to them. One suspect motioned to another and the second suspect grabbed an Ipod from the victim. The second suspect grabbed a wallet from the second victim. The victims resisted but the suspects continued to fight for the property and dragged one victim off the bus whil taking the Ipod. Witnesses, including a Park and Recreation employee observed the suspects run away with the property and noted their clothing descriptions. Officer Michael Howard spotted one of the suspects near Crocker Amazon Park and took him into custody. The second suspect threw the victim's property in a garbage can and boarded a muni bus to the Sunnydale area. The suspect detained was identified as a one of the robbers by a witness. Numerous Ingleside officers arrived on the scene to interview witnesses and retrieve evidence in the case. The suspect, a juvenile from the first block of Towerside, was arrested for robbery. Case # /12/06 1:06 pm Circular and Baden Officers Maria Donati and Ana Lee stopped a vehicle for a stop sign

11 violation. The driver, who lives in Antioch, was driving with a suspended license and was uninsured. He was cited and his 2006 Ford was towed. Case # /12/06 1:15 pm 4100 block of Mission A resident of the first block of Admiral heard glass breaking and saw a suspect enter a residence on the 4100 block of Mission. He saw the suspect and called the police. Officers Clodgah Coles, Val Altamirano, Wendy Frisk, Gerald Thompson, Daniel Kroos, Sgt. Rachel Karp and Lieutenant Lon Ramlan responded to the scene. The officers inspected the area were the burglary occurred and observed a living unit ransacked. The witness chased the suspect in his car but lost sight of him. Officer Coles caught up to the witness and drove the witness in the Cambridge and Sweeny area. The witness then saw the suspect, who was carrying a backpack full of property. Officer Coles took the suspect into custody without incident. The property in the suspect's possession was identified by the victim who resided in the unit that was burglarized. The suspect, who is on parole and has no local address was booked for burglary, receiving stolen property and narcotics parahernalia. This was an outstanding arrest that involved the noble assistance of a citizen and quick response by the officers. Case # /12/06 6:23 pm 100 block of Trumbull Officer Albert Duarte was working alone when he spotted a known fugitive with a no bail felony assault warrant on the 100 block of Trumbull. When the fugitive saw the officer, he ran away across the street to some stairs on Alemany. The officer pursued the suspect and called for assistance. Sgt. Brian Philpott and numerous other officers responded to the scene. The suspect was located in some bushes and arrested by Officer Duarte and Officer Rosalyn Rouede. Case # /12/06 6:44 pm 700 block of Mt. Vernon Officers Jason Acosta, Mike Peregoy, Wayman Young and Craig Tiffe went to the 700 block of Mt. Vernon to arrest a suspect who had burglarized a residence on the 500 block of Vienna three days before during a domestic violence incident. The officers arrested the suspect for burglary, malicious mischief and a narcotics paraphernalia charge. Case # /12/06 8:35 pm 4041 Mission Officer Wayman Young stopped a vehicle for a turn violation. The driver, who lives in the area, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1995 Honda was towed. Case #

12 09/12/06 11:04 pm 4500 block of Mission Officers Craig Wilson, Dan Gibbs, Josh Kumli, Andy Cox, Gerald Thompson and Carmen Barroeta responded to an assault where a deranged neighbor yelling racial slurs attacked a woman by striking her in the face. The officers located the suspect in an apartment nearby and arrested her for felony assault and criminal threats. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone Breaking News at 2:00 pm on Thursday, 09/14/06: Ingleside officers arrest three daytime burglars near James Denman Junior High after a burglary on the 100 block of Navajo---more in tomorrow's report. Ingleside officers in the past few days have been making outstanding robbery and burglary arrests. 1. The St. Mary's Park Improvement Club will hold their annual social event at St. Mary's Park on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Noon. 2. Members of the Ingleside Police Station wrote 835 moving traffic violations during the month of August. This compares to 477 written in August of So far this year the officers have written 6,822 moving violations which is the highest in the City by 1700 and 86% more than the same period last year. The large number of traffic citations is an effort by the officers in repsonse to community complaints about speeding, failing to yield to pedestrians and red light violations. 15 Officers Steven Ferraz and Bud Massey stopped a vehicle being driven without a license plate. The driver, who has no permanent local address and had no identification, was unlicensed. He was arrested for three vehicular violations. Case # /13/06 10:30 am 29th and Mission Officers Gerald Thompson and Peterkent DeJesus went to 29th and Mission on a cab dispute where a passenger had been ingesting cocaine in the cab, presented two credit cards for payment that were bogus and had eventually gone into a nearby bar to drink alcohol. The officers arrested the resident of the 1000 block of Howard for possession of narcotics. 18 A 12 year old young woman was walking on Sears street talking on her cell phone when two suspects approached her, grabbed her cell phone and struck her on the head twice. The suspects then fled on foot. Officer Jude Rand was driving by on his police motorcycle when he saw the young woman crying. He stopped and searched the area and found one of the suspects hiding in a backyard. The suspect resisted arrest but was subdued. The suspect, who lives on the 1600 block of Oakdale, was booked for robbery and resisting arrest. Case # /13/06 4:24 pm 25th and Orange Officers Josh Kumli, Daniel Gibbs and Andy Cox were on plainclothes patrol in the Valencia and Cesar Chavez area observing drug trafficking. They followed a suspect to 25th and Orange alley and observed him inspecting crack cocaine. A search of the transient revealed crack cocaine, heroin and suspected stolen credit cards. The suspect was arrested. Case # /13/06 4:30 pm Precita and Alabama A citizen who does a lot of work assisting the police with graffiti suspects, was driving home when he spotted a suspect committing a graffiti offense on a park bench in Precita Park. He called the police with Officers Herb Najarro and Jeffrey Chang responding. based upon the description given, the officers detained the suspect and a companion. The citizen positively identified the suspect and graffiti evidence was found. The suspect, who lives on the 1600 block of York, was cited for malicious mischief. Case # /13/06 9:45 pm 200 block of Curtis Officers Michael Brown and Oscar Padilla went to the 200 block of Curtis where a victim had been held against her will by a boyfriend, her phone destroyed and harassed. The officers arrested the suspect for two charges and a parole violation. Case # /13/06 10:00 pm 100 block of Tiffany Officer Michael Walsh stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone COMMUNITY EVENTS: The San Francisco Housing Authority will be sponsoring basketball games at the basketball court in the Sunnydale Public Housing on Saturday, September 16th from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm. Police officers from Ingleside will be in attendance.

21 The St. Mary's Park Improvement Club will have their annual lunch at St. Mary's Recreation Center on Saturday, September 16th at Noon. Neighbors on the 200 block of Gates will hold a block party from Noon until 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 17th. ARRESTS: 09/14/06 12:30 pm 100 block of Navajo A neighbor observed three suspects at the front door of a private residence who did not live there. He then observed that the suspects had entered the premises and heard loud banging inside so he called the police. Officer Michael Howard sped to the scene and saw three suspects as described walking from Navajo to Delano. Officer Howard told the suspects to stop but they turned and ran away into the courtyard of Leadership High School. The officer called for assistance and established a perimeter to cut off the escape of the burglary suspects. Officer Gerald Thompson arrived and located one suspect hiding in a trash can inside the school grounds. Sgt. Martha Juarez also arrived and assisted Officer Thompson in locating a second suspect hiding behind a retainer wall. The third suspect was captured by Officer Maris Goldsborough hiding near a trash can at James Denman Middle School. The officers observed that a metal gate had been broken and the front door kicked in at the crime scene. Probable evidence belonging to the victim was found in a trash can near where the suspects were captured. The suspects, all adults, who live on the 1100 block of Gilman and 2200 block of Oakdale, were arrested for burglary, conspiracy and resisting arrest. This was outstanding work by Officer Howard and excellent teamwork by Ingleside officers. Case # /14/06 3:00 pm Crescent and Ellsworth Officer Ana Lee and Sgt. Tim Plyer stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation and found that the resident of the 600 block of Anderson was wanted for a warrant charging drunk driving. Case # /14/06 3:34 pm Ellsworth and Alemany Officer Michael Walsh and Sgt. Tim Plyer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver, who lives on the 1800 block of Silver, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1997 Isuzu was towed. Case # /14/06 6:50 pm Seneca and Bannock Sgt. Tim Plyer stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver,

22 who lives on the 1700 block of McKinnon, was unlicensed and uninsured. She was cited and her 1996 GEO was towed. Case # /14/06 7:29 pm Mission and Virginia Officers Luis Tillan and Wayman Young stopped a vehicle for a seatbelt violation. The driver, who has no local address and had no identificatio, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was arrested and his 1991 GEO was towed. Case # /14/06 10:37 pm Alemany and Rousseau Sgt. Tim Plyer and Officer Ana Lee stopped a vehicle for a fraudulent registration violation. The driver, who lives in Oakland, gave conflicting information as to her identity. The officers determined that she was driving with a suspended license, was uninsured and had warrants for her arrest for the same thing. She was arrested and her 1990 Buick was towed. Case # /14/06 10:48 pm First block of Richland Sergeants Greg Dare and Edward Anzore as well as Officers Julian Hermosura, Luis Tillan and Wayman Young went to the first block of Richland where a man had beaten a woman about the head and slammed a door on her thigh. Case # /15/06 2:44 pm Rutland and Tioga Officers Mark Monpas and Victor Hui observed a driver operating a white vehicle stop at a stop sign and then drive way with smoke emanating from the tires, loud screeching sounds and and the rear of the vehicle moving from side to side rapidly. The officers stopped the vehicle and found that the driver, who lives on the 300 block of Wilde, was driving with a suspended license and was uninsured. The driver was cited for exhibition of speed and other violations and his 1991 Chevrolet was towed.
