ARRESTS: 05/05/07 11:57 am Cesar Chavez and Vermont Officer Amy Hurwitz stopped a vehicle for a vehicular violation and found that one of the occupants, who lives in Pacifica, was in violation of a restraining order. Case # /05/07 2:20 pm Geneva and Mission Two young girls were on a municipal railway bus at Geneva and Mission when two large female suspects confronted them while the victims were exiting the bus and demanded that they hand over their Ipods. The victims refused and were immediately physically set upon, with one suspect grabbing the head of one of the victims and slamming her into a garbage can. The suspect then struck the victims in the head and rib cage area and began pulling oun the victims' purses. The robbers escaped on another bus with various witnesses observing the attacks on Mission Street. Numerous Ingleside officers responded to the scene and obtained a description of the suspects. An ambulance was called to transport the victims to St. Luke's Hospital. Officers Mark Monpas, James Trail, Mike Peregoy and Amy Hurwitz located the bus at Ocean and Phelan. Both suspects were still on the bus. The suspects, who live on Baldwin Court and in Daly City, were identified and arrested for robbery, felony assault, conspiracy and possession of crack cocaine. 2 Officer Richard Trujillo stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation. The driver, who lives on the 1900 block of Sunnydale, was uninsured and unlicensed. He was cited and his 1989 Pontiac was towed. Case # /05/07 6:31 pm Leland and Alpha Officers Dan Silver and Matt Sullivan stopped a suspect for running across the street narrowly missing cars. The suspect resisted any attempts to cite him and struck the officers. The resident of the 100 block of Cora was arrested on a number of charges. Case # /05/07 6:37 pm 4500 block of Mission Officers Shawn Phillips, Melonee Alvarez, Kevin Horan and Wayman Young responded to the 4500 block of Mission where a man had taken a wooden stick and broken the window of a laundromat. The resident of the 400 block of Madrid was arrested for malicious mischief. Case # /05/07 7:04 pm Hahn and Sunnydale Officers James Trail, Mark Monpas and Mike Peregoy were seeking a gangster who had been admonished for trespassing on Housing Authority property. The suspect fled on foot and the officers found another suspect, who lives in Vallejo, who was wanted on a no bail parole warrant. Case # /05/07 7:40 pm 29th and San Jose Officer Amy Hurwitz stopped a vehicle for an accident investigation. One of the drivers, who lives in Daly City, was unlicensed and uninsured. She was cited and her 1992 Volvo was towed. Case # /05/07 8:15 pm Alabama and Precita Officers Melonee Alvarez and Shawn Phillips spotted a known and wanted gang fugitive on Precita. When the suspect saw the officers, he took off running. The officers chased him eight blocks, up hills, to the backyard of a residence on the 200 block of Mullen. At that location they captured him and arrested him for a no bail San Mateo County probation warrant and for resisting arrest. Case # /05/07 8:30 pm 900 block of Avalon Officers Matt Sullivan and Dan Silver went to a residence on the 900 block of Avalon where a husband had gone into a rage over his wife awakening him. 2

3 The suspect struck and bit the victim, threatened her with a knife and ripped the phone out of the wall when she called the police. The abusive suspect was arrested on multiple felonies. Case # /05/07 10:30 pm Santos and Blythdale Officer Richard Trujillo stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 500 block of Velasco, was driving with a suspended license and was uninsured. He was cited and his 1998 Plymouth was towed. case # /05/07 11:40 pm 3200 block of Mission Officers Kwadwo Asare and Michael Hutchings responded to a report of men fighting on the 3200 block of Mission. When they arrived they found a victim who had cuts and lacerations on his chin and eyebrow and needed medical attention. The victim had admonished the suspect about touching and harassing women in the area. The suspect had then attacked the victim. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone ARRESTS: 05/06/07 12:25 am 4500 block of Mission Officer Eric Reboli was on patrol when he spotted a man and woman arguing on the sidewalk. He stopped and separated the two and called for a Spanish speaker. Officer Jessie Ortiz responded and determined that the man had struck his wife causing her lips to bleed. The suspect, who lives on the 3300 block of Folsom, was arrested for domestic violence. Case # /06/07 6:10 am First block of Brookdale Officers Timothy Neves and Mike Walsh went to the first block of Brookdale where a suspect with no permanent local address had threatened a woman, slapped her across the face, broke a window and then climbed into a vacant 4

5 housing unit. The suspect was arrested on a multitude of charges. Case # /06/07 7:53 am Harvard and Bacon Officers Jennifer Marino, Joe Giannini and Ben Santana went to Harvard and Bacon on a report of a suspicious vehicle with multiple occupants. One suspect emerged from a nearby park and was found to have a probation search condition. The resident of Pittsburgh was searched and found to have brass knuckles. He was arrested on a weapons charge. Case # /06/07 12:55 pm 100 block of Hanover Officers Gerald Thompson, Dan Gibbs and Andy Cox went to the 100 block of Hanover where neighbors had reported a domestic violence case. The officers had difficulty gaining access to the residence but finally a man answered the door. The officers investigated and found that a woman had been beaten about the chest and face. The suspect was arrested for assault and for possession of crack cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia. Case # /06/07 1:40 pm Mission and Excelsior Officer Richmond Curry stopped a vehicle for a red light violation. The driver, who lives in Oakland, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1996 Dodge was towed. Case # /06/07 8:15 pm 100 block of Majestic A drunken boyfriend beat and threw to the ground his girlfriend. When she tried to get away from him, he pushed her down and grabbed her cell phone so she could not call the police. The victim then went to the 100 block of London and called the police. Officers Matt Sullivan and Dan Silver located the suspect on the first block of Avalon, his mother's residence, and arrested him for domestic violence, dissuading a witness and for a warrant for driving with a suspended license. Case # /06/07 9:35 pm Santos and Velasco Officer Leonard Morrow stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 400 block of Sunrise, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1990 Toyota was towed. Case # /06/07 10:00 pm Cortland and Bocana Officer Kevin Horan stopped a vehicle for driving with no headlights on. 5

6 The driver, who lives on the 700 block of Holly Park Circle, was driving with a suspended license. She was cited and her 1987 Mitsubishi was towed. 8 05/07/07 12:13 am 100 block of Shawnee A resident called the police to say that two suspects were at a house under construction and stealing construction equipment. Officers Robert Toomey and Danielle Weidman located a suspect adjacent to the stolen equipment on Nahua Avenue. The suspect, who lives on the 600 block of Brunswick, was identified by a witness as one of the burglars. He was arrested for burglary and receiving stolen property. Case # /07/07 7:57 am Mission and Valencia Officer Amalia Barcena stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 300 block of Munich, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1991 Mazda was towed. Case # /07/07 8:00 am Crescent and Ellsworth Officer Angelina Sanchez stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on Richland, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 2003 Ford was towed. Case # /07/07 12:45 pm 900 block of Ellsworth Officers Chad Campos and Victor Hui, Alemany Housing Officers, were on patrol when they spotted three loiterers. They stopped to investigate and found that one of the subjects, who lives on Cameron Way, was wanted on a no bail juvenile warrant and was in possession of suspected crack cocaine. Case # /07/07 8:05 pm Prentiss and Crescent Officers Nicholas Suslow and Mitchell Campbell observed a vehicle go through a stop sign. They stopped the vehicle and found that it was stolen. The driver, a resident of the first block of Homewood Court, was arrested for auto theft, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license. Case # /07/07 10:55 pm Crescent and Putnam Officers Michael Wibunsin and Jessie Ortiz stopped a vehicle that had been reported stolen. After an investigation they determined that the driver was unaware of the vehicle's status and had borrowed the vehicle from another party. 11 San Francisco, Ca Telephone The District 11 Council meets on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 10:00 am in the community room of Ingleside Police Station, #1 John V. Young Lane. ARRESTS: 05/08/07 12:30 am Elsie and Coso Officers Liza Johansen and Kevin Lundy went to Elsie and Coso on juveniles loitering. They contacted one 16 year old girl who lives on the 1100 block of Howard and took her to Huckleberry House as she was out of parental control. Case # /08/07 8:45 am 500 block of Portola Officer Maris Goldsborough arrested a resident of Stanford Heights for a strong arm robbery that occurred at Stonestown Mall on May 2, The suspect, a juvenile, had taken money from another juvenile. Case # /08/07 12: block of Benton Officer Herb Najarro stopped a suspect near St. Mary's Park who was under the influence of drugs. The officer also determined that the same subject had been loitering at another park. A check revealed that the Daly City resident was on parole. He was arrested for being under the influence and a parole violation. Case # /08/07 2:20 pm 4300 block of Mission Officer Bud Massey was flagged down by a muni driver who said a suspect had just committed a graffiti offense on his bus. The officer located the resident of the 600 block of Francisco and cited him for malicious mischief. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone Ingleside Officers Arrest Robber on Municipal Railway Bus---See Below. ARRESTS: 05/09/07 3:16 am 200 block of London Officers Kevin Lundy and Liza Johansen went to an address on the 200 block of London where a man and woman were involved in an argument over their relationship. The woman struck and scratched the man leaving injuries on his face. She was arrested for domestic violence. Case # /09/07 5:30 am 100 block of Sickles Officers Joseph Kavanagh and Julian Hermosura went to an address on the 100 block of Sickles where two people were fighting over the use of crack 13

14 cocaine. A warrant check revealed that one of the people, who has no permanent local address, was wanted on arrest warrants for possession of drugs, lewd conduct and fraud. Case # /09/07 2:12 pm 400 block of Wilde Officers from the San Francisco Police Department Fugitive Recovery Enforcement team, including Sgt. Louis Espinda, went to an address on Wilde and arrested a suspect for a burglary and fraud warrant from the Contra Costa County Sheriff. case # /09/07 2:45 pm Naples and Brazil Officer William McCarthy stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 400 block of Sawyer, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1986 Nissan was towed. Case # /09/07 2:54 pm San Jose and John Young Lane Officers Chad Campos and Victor Hui encountered a suspect at San Jose and John Young who stated that he lives on the 800 block of Ellsworth. The suspect made credible threats of violence against the officers and resisting arrest. Case # /09/07 3:40 pm 100 block of Lisbon Sgt. John Haggett of the Traffic Division and Officer Andrea Calahane stopped a vehicle for speeding and going through a red light in a reckless fashion. The driver, who lives on Norton, was unlicensed and was in possession of suspected crack cocaine and in possession of evidence of narcotics trafficking. Case # /09/07 5:00 pm 400 block of Naples Officers Tyler Ropelato, Ann Gamboa, Christopher Morris, Richard Trujillo and Sgt. Jennifer Jackson went to the 400 block of Naples where a husband, enraged over alleged infidelity, had struck his wife numerous times, thrown her to the ground and dragged her around the residence. The suspect was booked on numerous felonies. Case # /09/07 6:30 pm 3300 block of Mission Officers Jeffrey Chang and Jason Gallagher spotted a known runaway who had a no bail juvenile warrant. The 15 year old, who lives on Montcalm, was taken to the Youth Guidance Center. Case #

15 05/09/07 6:46 pm Felton and Harvard Officer Armann Ramoso stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 200 block of Wilson, was driving with a suspended license, had a warrant for the same thing and was in possession of an illegal air gun. Case # /09/07 7:15 pm 3300 block of Mission Officers Carla Lee and Robin Odum went to a tavern on the 3300 block of Mission where an abusive customer had taken a bracelet from a waitress and refused to return it. The officers confronted the suspect, who lives on the 300 block of Turk, found the bracelet in his pocket, and arrested him for grand theft. Case # /09/07 7:38 pm First block of Blythdale Officers Francisco Ho and Mark Monpas stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on the 500 block of Francisco, was driving with a suspended license and was wanted on an arrest warrant from the Pacifica Police Department for the same thing. He was arrested and his 1987 Nissan was towed. Case # /09/07 9:00 pm Mission and Silver A youn man was sitting on the 14 line muni bus in the rear when he was approached by a suspect who grabbed the victim by the shirt and slammed him against the wall of the bus while taking taking his CD player and cell phone. The suspect fled from the bus. Officers Carmen Walsh, Ernest Wilberg, Anthony Ravano, Luis Tillan, Jeffrey Chang and Jason Gallagher responded to the area to try to find the robber. Officers Gallagher and Chang spotted the suspect at Alemany and Rousseau and took him into custody. They recovered some of the victim's property from the suspect. The suspect, who lives on the 1100 block of Fitzgerald, was identified as the robber. He was arrested for robbery, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana. This was an excellent arrest of a robbery predator. Case # /09/07 11:47 pm 700 block of Monterey Two individuals hailed a taxicab on Geary and were driven to the 700 block of Monterey. When the taxidriver asked for payment, both suspects refused and uttered obscenities. The taxidriver tried to restrain the suspects but one violently struck the cabdriver and both ran away and entered a building 15

16 on the 700 block of Monterey. Officers Brian Cotter, Julian Hermosura, Joseph Kavanagh, Michael Hutchings, Kwadwo Asare and Darren Wong responded and entered the apartment building. The officers were directed by residents to an apartment on the 3rd floor and made contact with the suspects. One suspect, who appeared at the door, adopted a fighting stance and tried to strike Officer Cotter. The suspect was taken to the ground and arrested. A second suspect was taken into custody without incident. The first suspect, who lives on the 1200 block of Webster, was arrested on a multitude of charges. The second, who lives on Monterey, was cited for defrauding the cabdriver. Chignell Commanding Officer Ingleside Police Station #1 John V. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca Telephone Sgt. Phil Lee died in October of Phil would have turned 50 yesterday. We all miss him and will never forget our friend Phil. 1. Ingleside Police Officers wrote 1,059 moving violations in the month of April---again the highest of all of the 10 police stations by over 300 citations. This is a direct result of community requests, particularly pedestrian safety. 2. On Thursday, May 10, 2007, Ingleside officers wrote 20 citations in one hour at 28th and Guerrero for vehicles failing to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. We will continue to perform pedestrian "stings" to ensure the safety of pedestrians. 17

18 ARRESTS: 05/10/07 2:00 am 300 block of Seneca Officers Jeffrey Chang and Ernest Wilberg responded to the 300 block of Seneca on a report of an adult son who had been threatening his elderly parents, committing malicious mischief and other violations. The officers located the suspect and arrested him for threats and elder abuse. Case # /10/07 6:50 am Persia and Athens Officer William McCarthy stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 300 block of Vienna, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 2005 Chevrolet was towed. Case # /10/07 11:16 am 500 block of Ellsworth Officers Kirk Yin, Oscar Padilla, Robert Kobold, and Sgt. James Miller executed a search warrant at a residence on the 500 block of Ellsworth. They recovered a large amount of marijuana and packaging material and arrested the occupant of the residence on narcotics charges. Case # /10/07 1:43 pm Ellsworth and Crescent Officer Val Altamirano stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives in South San Francisco, was unlicensed and uninsured. She was cited and her 1996 Toyota was towed. Case # /10/07 4:06 pm Alemany and Crescent Officer Gerald Thompson stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. Case # /10/07 5:43 pm Geneva and Carter Officers Nicholas Suslow and Mitchell Campbell stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver gave conflicting information as to her identity. Finally the officers obtained her correct name and found that the resident of South San Francisco was driving with a suspended license and had a warrant for her arrest from Alameda County for drunk driving. Case # /10/07 7:00 pm Silver and Craut Officer Armann Ramoso stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives in Redwood City, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1990 Toyota was towed. Case # /10/07 7:25 pm Mission and Cortland Officer Chrostopher Morris stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on Campbell, was unlicensed. He was cited and his 1995 Acura was towed. 22 extortion cases. ARRESTS: 05/11/07 11:50 am Monterey and Baden A woman called the police repeatedly about a non-existent emergency in the Monterey and Baden area. Officer Ignacio Martinez traced the calls to a woman in that area and detained her. The woman, who has no permanent local address, was cited for false reports of an emergency. Case # /11/07 4:19 pm Wilder and Diamond Officer Wendy Bear stopped a driver who was on his cell phone and almost hit her police car. A warrant check revealed that the driver, who lives on the 300 block of Monterey, was wanted on a warrant for solicitation of prostitution. Case # /11/07 4:25 pm Mission and Onondaga Officer Mike Murphy stopped a driver for going through a red light. The driver, who lives in Hayward, was driving with a suspended license and was uninsured. She was cited and her 1996 Toyota was towed. Case # /11/07 5:31 pm First block of Brookdale Officers Jason Gallagher, Ernest Wilberg, Kevin Horan, Mike Peregoy and Craig Wilson were on patrol in the Sunnydale Housing area monitoring gang members. They located a juvenile, who has no permanent local address, who had been admonished previously about trespassing on Housing Authority property. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and for a no bail juvenile warrant for grand theft. Case # /11/07 6:22 pm Cayuga and Theresa Officers Christopher Morris and Richard Trujillo stopped a driver after he was recklessly speeding and following too closely other vehicles. The resident of Bayside Village then threatened to get a gun and kill the officers. The suspect was arrested for threats and vehicular violations. 22
