1 POLICE BLOTTER FOR OCT , /16-10/17 Officer Voyvodich responded to the 3300 block of Brookside Drive for the report of a stolen vehicle. The 2007 Subaru was stolen between 7:30 am to 8:30 am. Case# Officer Lekse stopped a vehicle on Center Avenue at Muir Road. He contacted the male driver who was in possession of a controlled substance. The driver was arrested and cite released. 10/17-10/18 Officer Voyvodich contacted a male subject at the Post Office on Alhambra Avenue. The subject had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF). Officer Winslett took a report of an unknown subject who possibly used a bb or pellet gun to shoot the windows of a house on Northridge Road. Case# Officer Mayberry responded to Morello Avenue and Marie Avenue for a subject throwing rocks at vehicles from the train trestle. Officer Mayberry located the male subject on the train tracks. He was arrested, booked, and released for throwing objects at vehicles and vandalism. Case# On Monday, 10/16/2017 at 5:09 pm, MPD Dispatch advised of a female down after having been pepper sprayed. Dispatch further advised that a male was chasing another male down Main Street. MPD Dispatch gave multiple locations for the incident, as they received several calls with differing information. A female was located near a business in the 600 block of Ferry Street. She was suffering discomfort after having been pepper sprayed. Officers also located two males on Main Street, identifying one as the female s boyfriend and the other as the property owner in the area. During the investigation, multiple statements were taken. It appears the female was asked to leave the property where she was located. The property owner walked to the front of his building and then returned to the rear of the building where he was confronted by the female on the sidewalk adjacent to his property. Based on statements, it was reported that the female pushed the other party and he sprayed her with pepper spray. The female s boyfriend ran over to confront the property owner for pepper spraying his girlfriend resulting in the him being pepper sprayed as well. No other injuries were reported and there was no physical altercation that ensued. None of the involved parties wanted any further action
2 or assistance from MPD, nor did they wish to press charges related to the incident. The incident was documented as an information report. Case # /18-10/19 MPD units were dispatched to a residence in the 2600 block of Star Tree Court for a report of shots fired. The teenage son at that residence was selling marijuana and three males attempted to rob him outside the residence. One of the males produced a handgun and fired 3 or 4 shots as the victim ran into the house. The suspects fled the area in in unknown vehicle. No one was injured and we did not locate any shell casings or bullet holes in the residence. Case# /19-10/20 Officer Carney arrested a male subject for shoplifting from Walgreens. The subject was in possession of the stolen property and confessed to the theft. The subject was booked into MDF, from where he had just been released. Corporal Baillie attempted to contact a known male subject on parole in the 1100 block of Arnold Drive. The subject fled on foot and was not located. Case# Officers responded to the 300 block of Warren Street for a report of a parked vehicle being hit. Corporal Schnabel contacted and arrested the female driver for DUI. She was booked and released from MPD. Officers responded to the 300 block of Green Street for a report of a parked vehicle being hit. Officer Ramos contacted the male driver who was arrested for DUI and booked into MDF. 10/20-10/23 Police Assistant Tolliver located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the 800 block of Howe Road. The 2000 GMC Suburban was reported stolen to CHP on 10/14/2017. Case Officers were on foot patrol in the 3500 block of Vista Oaks Drive. They contacted a male subject from Martinez. He was arrested for a felony no bail warrant for drug violations. He was booked into MDF by Officer Carney. Officers were dispatched to the bocce ball courts for a woman screaming and possibly under the influence. Corporal Baillie arrested the female for drug intoxication. Officer Voyvodich arrested a second female for drug intoxication. Both of them were booked into MDF. Officer Carney observed a male subject in the 4100 block of Alhambra Avenue. He had prior knowledge the subject had evaded Corporal Baillie the prior date when he attempted to conduct a parole search. Officer Buda actually detained the subject and handed him to Corporal Baillie. The subject was arrested for a 3056 PC (Violation of Parole) and booked into the Main Detention Facility (MDF).
3 Sergeant Busciglio responded to Gilbert Court for a male subject not breathing. Unfortunately, efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Sergeant Gaul responded to the 1000 block of Marie Avenue for a stolen vehicle report. The 1991 Toyota Camry was stolen between 2:00 pm yesterday and 7:00 am today. Officer Buda responded to the 700 block of Sterling Drive for an attempt to steal a 2006 Ford F350 sometime last night. Officers were dispatched to Two Jays Pizza for the report of a subject challenging the owner of the business to fight. The subject was located leaving the scene. He was arrested for this violation as well as violating his probation. He was booked into MDF. Officer Lekse responded to the 300 block of Via Cordova Lane for an auto burglary. The vehicle s window was smashed and tools were stolen. Officers responded to Wawona Circle for a report of two people unloading items in a parking lot. Officer Montano arrived and contacted a male subject. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a stolen Sig Sauer 380 caliber handgun in the trunk. The firearm was reported stolen out of Vallejo. Indicia in the car indicated a female may have been the second person who fled the area just prior to PD arrival. The female has numerous felony warrants for her arrest. The area was searched and she was not located. The male was arrested and booked into MDF. Officer Lincoln contacted a male and female in the Walmart parking lot. The male was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested. A small amount of methamphetamine was located on his person. A search of the female revealed ten Norco pills in her pocket that were not prescribed to her. She was cite released at the scene. The male was transported to the station where he was booked then released after providing a urine sample. At 1:16 am Officer Wah located an abandoned Chevrolet van in the east driveway entrance to the Rite Aid shopping center. The van had a flat tire and the engine was warm. The van was reported stolen out of Sacramento from August. The area was searched by officers and no suspects were located. The owner could not respond and the vehicle was towed. 10/23-10/24 Officer Brinser contacted a known male at the bocce ball courts. The male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked into MDF. 10/24-10/25 At 0802 hours Officer Lekse responded to the 1200 block of Rolling Hill Way for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a white 2002 GMC was taken sometime during the night. Case# Officer Lincoln responded to B&D tow yard in Concord to recover a stolen vehicle
4 which had been towed from a private property in the 3900 block of Alhambra Avenue. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Martinez Police Department on 10/16/2017. Case# /25-10/26 At 9:23 pm Officer Lincoln responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Village Oaks Drive for a report of a vandalized vehicle. The vehicle was spray painted in red paint with the word Nigger and representations of a penis. The vehicle was vandalized within a few hours prior to being reported. Case# At 8:20 am Officer Poertner responded to Walmart for a report of a vandalism. Two vehicles were spray painted in red paint with the word Nigger, representations of a penis, and a peace sign. The vehicles were vandalized sometime during the night. Case# Officers responded to the 2000 block of Arnold Drive for a solo vehicle accident where the vehicle drove off the roadway and severed a power pole. The roadway was closed due to substantial damage to the power pole and PG&E responded to make necessary repairs. The driver of the vehicle had no signs of impairment. Case# Sergeant Salamid responded to Walmart for an adult female inhaling or huffing from a can of compressed air. The female was highly intoxicated, non-compliant, and combative. Sergeant Salamid and Officer Carney arrested the female for 647(f) PC (Public Intoxication), 148 PC (Resist Peace Officer), and 381(a) PC (Possess Inhalant). She was booked into MDF. Officer Brinser and Sergeant Salamid responded to the 600 block of Ferry Street for a report of an adult male yelling at vehicles. Officer Brinser attempted to contact the subject, who immediately ran. Officers pursued the subject, and after a brief struggle he was arrested and booked into MDF for 11550(a) H&S (Under Influence Controlled Substance), 148 PC (Resist Peace Officer), and PC (Violate Terms of Probation). Case# Officer Breinig responded to a business in the 700 block of Escobar Street for a female causing a disturbance. He contacted the responsible female and arrested her for trespassing and public intoxication. She was booked into MDF. 10/26-10/27 Sergeant Salamid, Officer Carney, and Corp Yard employees responded to the bocce courts. Several encampments were located and cleaned up, filling two dump trucks. A combination pad lock was placed on the gate to the bocce courts. Inc# Officer Lekse contacted a female in the 2600 block of Alhambra Avenue. The female admitted to possessing heroin. Officer Lekse searched the female and located approximately 3 grams of heroin, 1 gram of methamphetamine and other items associated with the sale of narcotics. The female was arrested, booked and released for
5 11352(a) H&S (Possess Narcotic for Sale) and 11377(a) H&S (Possess Controlled Substance). Case# Officer Buda and Officer Carney responded to Walmart for a report of an adult female inhaling compressed air from a can. Officers arrived and arrested the female for 381 PC (Possess Inhalant). She had been arrested or transported to the hospital 4 times for the same crime over the last 7 days. She was booked into MDF. Sergeant Moore responded to the 2400 block of Arnold Drive for a report of a found gun. Sergeant Moore contacted the reporting party who discovered a 25 caliber pistol with his metal detector. The pistol appeared to have been buried for some time and is register to a subject in Sacramento County. The investigation is ongoing. Case# Officer Breinig responded to a business in the 700 block of Escobar Street for a female causing a disturbance. He contacted the female and arrested her for trespassing and public intoxication. She was booked into MDF. Officers responded to a report of a person huffing or snorting something on the hill behind Chase Bank on Arnold Drive. Officers witnessed the female huff an aerosol can and she was arrested and booked into MDF for PC 381 (Posses Inhalant). She attempted to pull away from officers during the arrest, but was unsuccessful, and no one was injured. Case# Sergeant Busciglio contacted a male and female in the Yacht Club parking lot. The female had a felony warrant for her arrest. She was also in possession of a loaded syringe, a debit card and mail in a back pack which belonged to others. She was booked into MDF for the warrant and the identity theft is under investigation. Case# /27-10/30 Officers were dispatched to Safeway (3334 Alhambra Avenue) for a subject causing a disturbance. Officer Voyvodich contacted a female from Martinez. She was arrested for a felony no bail warrant for burglary and possession of stolen property. She was booked into the Main Detention Facility (MDF). Commander Roth, Sergeants Gaul, Salamid and Ferrer were attending a meeting downtown when Sergeant Gaul observed a male subject ride past on his bicycle. He knew the subject was wanted for a $10, misdemeanor warrant for drug intoxication. They made an area check and were unable to locate him. Sergeants Gaul and Salamid hiked to the subject s camp in the 1500 block of Marina Vista along the tracks. The subject was located and ran away. Sergeants Gaul and Salamid were hindered by numerous barriers and were not able to catch him. A perimeter was established and Sergeant Moore apprehended the subject as he attempted to escape the perimeter. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested for this violation as well as running away. He was booked into MDF. Corporal Baillie contacted several subjects at Fig Tree Lane and Eastwoodbury Lane.
6 He arrested a male subject from Martinez for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The subject was cite released. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle crashed into a parked car in the 100 block of Virginia Hills Drive. Officers arrested the subject for driving under the influence of alcohol. The two vehicles involved had major damage and had to be towed from the scene. The driver refused to provide a sample and a warrant was obtained. She was booked into MDF for DUI. Sergeant Gaul viewed an ed License Plate Reader (LPR) Hot-List Alert from the previous evening. The stolen vehicle was captured by the mounted camera on Alhambra Avenue. At 9:00 am Sergeant Gaul observed the 2003 GMC Yukon parked in the 800 block of Howe Road. It was occupied by two subjects who appeared to be sleeping. They were detained without incident. They were identified as a male from Martinez and a female from Napa. The male was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and released from the PD. The female was arrested for a $30, misdemeanor warrant for child endangerment. The vehicle was reported stolen to El Dorado Sheriff s Office the prior date. She was booked into MDF. Sergeant Muncher responded to the 1300 block of Paradise Drive for the report of a stolen vehicle. The 1998 Volvo was stolen between midnight and 10:00 am. Case# Officer Buda and Corporal Baillie contacted two subjects at 7-11 on Morello Avenue. One of the subjects was arrested for possession of burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. The subject was booked into MDF. Officers were dispatched to Safeway (3334 Alhambra Avenue) for a theft in progress. Officers contacted a female from Concord. She was arrested for theft and violating probation. She was booked into MDF by Officer Russell. Sergeant Moore responded to the 600 block of Center Avenue for an auto burglary. The burglary occurred sometime last night and the loss was tools. The point of entry was a window smash. Officer Lekse responded to Gilrix Drive for a burglary. The residence was vacant and the suspect stole numerous coins and light fixtures. Extensive damage to countertops, appliances, plumbing, and holes in the drywall. Occurred between 10/28/17 10:30 am and 10/29/17 10:00 am. 10/30-10/31 At 1335 hours Officer Winslett responded to Walmart for a report of a male subject who stole a bicycle. While responding Officer Winslett saw a male subject matching the description leaving the scene on a bicycle. Officer Winslett contacted the subject and arrested him for 484 PC (Theft). He was cite released from the scene. Case#
