This is wht Jenette Krtofil hd to sy bout her experience: I left for Jpn with the hope of better understnding nd ppreciting the Jpnese, of enjoying new culture, new climte, nd cuisine. I hd hoped to return with little insight into foreign country nd shre my new knowledge with others. But, little did I expect such short time to mke such n impct on my life. From the moment I stepped off the plne nd filled my lungs with the thick, moist ir, the country of Jpn extended its welcome to me. Piece by piece the culture fell in net pthwy before me nd beckoned me to follow. Fns nd hndkerchiefs, chopsticks nd no npkins, tking shoes off nd crrying the ll importnt umbrell, smile nd friendly bow, ll prts of new lifestyle, grcious culture. And, bove nd beyond the rules nd the customs were generous herts of ll the Jpnese people. From the beginning, even in the bustle of Tokyo, friendly smile nd curious question or two gve me the welcomed feeling longed for.
