Visiting former Rotarian: Skip Coale, Rotary Club of Columbia-Patuxent s first club president, Guest: Meg Moon, attorney with North American Title, guest of AJ. Membership Moment: AJ: Big Thank You to Sandi Harriman as Membership Chair this year. We have a net addition of 10 new members this year. Keep the momentum going, bring in more prospective members.

2 Foundation Moment: Ken Solow: At the RI Convention in Atlanta last week, RI announced a pledge of $50 million for PolioPlus, with a 2:1 match of $150 million from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition, Bill Gates will give an additional $150 million. RI was able to have $1.2 billion pledged from various governments across the world. 3 No meeting next Friday, instead we have our Annual Dinner on Sunday, June 25 at the Howard County Conservancy. July 22, 2017: Crab Feast hosted by Pam and Ron Young. Barbara Petilli: Aug Howard County Fairgrounds Ball Pit Fundraiser. We will need volunteers for the setup of the event, sponsorships, collecting gift cards and other raffle items to be given out when the balls are pulled. Program: Howard County Recreation & Parks Phil Bryan, Superintendent Nicola Morgal, Aquatics, Fitness, and Sports Instruction Manager Here are just a sample of all the events sponsored by HC Rec & Parks. Programs for kids and adults of all age groups, including specific 55+ programs. There are self-defense programs, Geo-caching programs. Tours to the museums in Washington, DC. Bus trips to various wineries in the area. Last month, Wine in the Woods was a huge success with 23, 000 attendees.

4 Sunset Serenades at Centennial Park South, free concerts throughout the summer. Traveling Bands at various locations in the county. The Fourth of July fireworks show will take place on July 4 this year at Lake Kittamaqundi. Solar Fest at Alpha Ridge Park on Saturday, July 8. Tiger Open, 8th Annual Gary J. Arthur Memorial Golf Tournament, June 30, Timbers at Troy. Celebration of Sports 9th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday October 13, Timbers at Troy. The First Tee of Howard County 16th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, August 4, Fairway Hills. Please check out their website for more information: Enter Sgt. at Arms, ChazMo Happy Dollars: The money collected goes directly to our Emergency Community Fund. Many program dollars. Highlighted Happy Dollars: Cliff Feldwick gave a dollar for the RI Convention in Atlanta, and for next year s convention in Toronto. AJ gave a dollar for the visit of Skip Coale. Skip Coale gave a Doubting Thomas dollar because he had to see for himself the presidency of Alan Jefferson. Ken Solow gave a Larry Newman congratulatory dollar. Fine: All those who didn t attend the RI Convention in Hot-lanta this year. 50/50 Raffle: DocWalt pulls the 10 of clubs. The pot is growing, buy more tickets.
