Shane Coker led the Pledge of Allegiance, Tom Bates gave the Invocation, and Kathy Eaton led the Four-Way Test.
2 Guests Raelynn Botello (right), scholarship recipient, and her mother Mary McDonald (left) Vladimir Gnilozubov, president of Rotaract club Rotary Announcements Joe Heidrick made these announcements: The Club Board will huddle after the meeting today. The Rotary Volunteer Hours/Donations Form is circulating. Remember to bring in your raffle cruise ticket sales and turn in your money. The Club raffle will continue next week. The District Conference is April Please attend. District Assembly will be in Albuquerque on March 24 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 10-3:15 and 5-8 pm. Vladimir Gnilozubov, president of Rotaract club, informed the club of the following items regarding the Rotaract club: The Club met last Sunday. They are preparing to help with the Bones Project on March 4 at the Bear Mountain Lodge. From there, they will carry bones for roughly a 20-minute uphill hike. All are welcome. They are preparing to help the Silver City Gospel Mission in April, helping them cook meals and serve them. Their International project will be in Juarez, gathering blankets and clothing to be delivered in April. For the Great Race later part of April, they will help the student government with a party to be held at Lake Roberts. On February 20 at Francis Reyes s house, there will be a potluck with all of Rotaract.
3 Francis Reyes announced: There will be another Rotaract Club meeting on February 20. Career Day at WNMU was today, and Joe Heidrick, Francis Reyes, and Nkechi Nwachuku represented Rotary. Joe Heidrick and Francis Reyes at WNMU Career Day Kathy Eaton announced: A reminder of the Water Catchment workday on February 24, 10-4 at the Commons, 13 th Corbin. Rosie Higgs has agreed to be the Supervisor for the Rotary Yard sale at Kathy Eaton s house on April 14 Mark Richard reminded us of the Valentine s Day Dinner at Bear Mountain Lodge. We are to call Linda Telaak to make final reservations. The beneficiary is Big Brothers Big Sisters. Peter Falley announced the following: Blood drive will take place this week at various locations each day. Bayard Elementary school is going to Albuquerque for Gathering of Nations for a competition. Rotary club donated $280. Mystery Dinner Committee is meeting after this meeting. Special Presentation Peter Falley gave Raelynn Botello (left), our scholarship recipient, an envelope of the other half of the scholarship. She spoke to us about her success for the semester 3.3 grade-point average.
4 Brags and/or Happy Dollars Kate Watson wanted to congratulate Paul Moore in his dissertation defense Peter Falley turned 82 years old today. Program Peter Falley demonstrated the website tools and showed us how to navigate the website. Also, he showed us the link to Facebook and other links.
