1 Newsletter May 2010 The Summer Folk are On The Way Memorial Day Weekend... is almost here!!! BMJCA will offer community members a chance to either work or play, or do both, over Memorial Day weekend (May 29 31). For the workers: BMJCA will have 4 green waste dumpsters and 1 trash dumpster available to clean up the debris that accumulated over the winter. For the players: BMJCA will offer a program featuring Bill Dennison who will talk about the Diamond Match Camp that used to be located in Butte Meadows ***Read the articles inside the newsletter for details about these events*** Door Yard Burning RULE #1 Call Butte County Air Quality Management to find out whether it is a Burn or a No Burn day. At the time this newsletter was written there were not any time restrictions or permits required for burning yard debris. However, there will be restrictions soon. Before starting your fire contact the Cal Fire Station at Forest Ranch (Platt Mountain) to get a burn permit. Then call Air Quality to determine whether it is a burn day. Check your permit for the approved burning hours and safety clearances required for yard burning. Membership Reminder Did you know????
