2 Mc Mcllvoy 5/07 Dotty Lamb 5/09 Linda Lewis 5/24 Letter from the President Hello Shaggers, Oh yes, Oh yes, it was SOS time again. Many Mountain Shag members made the trip to Ocean Drive recently. It was a great time with friends and dancing till your feet hurt. Mark your calendars for Fall Migration, September 14 th - 23rd. This year is the 15 th Anniversary of Fun Monday. There will be a variety of artists, Jerry Butler, MOJO Blues band, Coastline and others. I have also been told there is a SURPRISE Artist that will be singing some of your favorite tunes. Fun Monday tickets are now on sale! The designated charity is CARING 4 KIDS and the SOS Charitable Foundation, Inc. The tickets are $10.00 each. The Mountain Shag has been challenged to sell 100 tickets. The drawing will be held on Monday, September 17 during SOS Fun Monday. Prizes to be awarded are: 1 st Prize: $7, nd Prize: $2, rd Prize: $1, th Prize: $ th Prize: $ The club and the person that sells the winning ticket of the $7, will receive $ Deadline to purchase a ticket is August 31. Please see me, or any one of our board members to purchase your tickets. Mountain Shag party will be May 19 at The Hangar, located in the Clarion on Airport Road in Fletcher. We will have some great door prizes and a 50 / 50 drawing. We hope you will make plans to join us and have a great time with fellow shaggers. We look forward to seeing you there! He had knee surgery on April 27, We hope you get well soon and get back on the dance floor quickly. Please remember Barbara s father in your thoughts and prayers. He is still doing chemo. New shag radio station: LISTEN TO JIM QUICK LIVE FROM 2 TO 4.30 EVER TUESDAY Embroidered Logos We have found business that does a great job with our logo. Paul usually has a few samples and tee shirts with him if you want to see the logo or are interested in buying one of the items. We can take almost anything to them and they will put the logo on it. Right now the price runs around $10.00 per logo but the more items we have, the cheaper the cost. So, if you have something already, like a jacket, hat, or bag, bring it to Paul and when he has several pieces, he can get them done and beat the $10.00 per logo charge.
