Name: CARL JACOBSEN Firm: Boyle Engineering Classification: Engineering/Consulting "A ten-day period shall then be allowed during which any member wishing to express their comments regarding the election of the proposed member shall notify the board in writing, stating his/her comments." We would ski at Heavenly Valley by day, schedule happy hours around a large hot tub or roaring fire in the lounge (or both), then visit stateline casinos after nightfall. Non skiers would be welcome!!! ^is weekend does not conflict with football playoffs (the Super Bowl is jan 31st!) Pacifica Lodge, on Park Avenue two blocks from the casinos and about five miles from Heavenly Valley, will reserve a block of rooms for us. They cost $60 a night for Friday and Saturday night and $50 for Thursday night too, (that rate is for a double room Add $6 for an extra person.) Wonderful deluxe rooms are available for $80 (they have a fireplace), and various other suites (with in-room spas) are available for up to $150. AAA members get a 10% discount. (I can vouch for the quality of Pacifica Lodge... I stayed there during two ski trips last winter.) Children would also be welcome on the trip I'm bringing my 8-yr old daughter who is already a good skier ~ and we could pool babysitting in the evenings. -- Contact Randy Seelye if you're interested.
