27 VOLUME 39 March 25, 1993 EDITOR: Shauna Lorenzen PUBLISHER: Eric Van Cleave Fax # OUR NEXT PROGRAM. ^ Dr. HOWARD T. BELL What you don't know about cellular telephones CAN hurt you!! Dr. Bell has a PHD in radio science and is presently conducting research at Stanford University. His program will reveal some startling facts he has uncovered regarding the dangers of frequent use of your cellular telephone. MYSTERY ROTARIAN by Loretta Slyh This week's Mystery Rotarian was born outside i abandoned Potawatamee Indian village northwestern Ohio to agrarian parents, descende from Teutonic invaders and religion dissidents. After a childhood spent extractirr fluid secretions from cloven-hoofec quadrupedal, ruminate mammals, he pursue an education in the art of building. Ravaged b the accumulating wreckage of a failed lov. affair, the descent of this week's Rotaria: witnessed 6 months of labor aboard a: ocean-going yacht, one month of involuntary servitude in the South China Sea and liberation by a mutinous fello-- crewperson in the Maldive Islands. The quest for self-discovery an good food led, of course, to California where the mysterious rotaria. today enjoys working, listening to music and riding horses.

28 RECOGNITION CORNER... by Shauna Lorenzen WHO WAS THAT MASKED PERSON... Look out boys and girls!! Nancy Aita is coming to town so get your wallets out... Russ McCracken was the first to pay $5.00 for walking in late for Nancy's meeting. Ga** Doolittle had to pay $5.00 just for being Gary. Caw,... Estes decided President-Elect Nancy should pay $5.00 for forgetting to announce any guests of Rotarians. Jack Eddinger piped up that he thought Nancy would make the "Best President" yet and had to pay $10.00 for thinking. Mike Sass thought she sounded "Just like Hilary" and had to pay $ Warren Smith, our polite Past President, had tried to remind Nancy about announcing the guests, there were no guests, so he paid $5.00 instead. Archie Julian wanted to make an announcement, but started his comments out about being "the time of the month" and promptly paid $20.00 for being insulting. BIRTHDAY BABIES... Cathy Vyenielo and Dan Davis will both celebrate their birthdays on the same day and, they both paid $ Leroy Carlenzoli was reminded of wife Carol's birthday, while John Lynch was reminded of wife Jackie's birthday. Both were grateful enough to each pay $ Thanks to Jack Eddinger for reminding us of his wife Vicki's birthday, and for the $10.00 he dutifully paid. THOSE TRAVELING... John Lynch went to Iowa for wrestling???? We didn't understand, but he paid $10.00 anyway. Peter Treleaven and Randy Seelye went skiing together. Both came home a httle damaged. Randy pulled a muscle in his leg, and Peter did just minor damage to his Volvo (about $2,000 worth). Both paid $ AND THE RECOGNITION GOES ON... Russ McCracken has a new (used) Trooper in his favorite color of white. It only cost him $5.00 for the new wheels. Speaking of new wheels^ " jrlioann Ponseti just purchased and 1993 Toyota pick for friend Stephen as a 9th year anniversary gift. While she was being recognized, Leroy Carlenzoli made a comment about Rhoann's hair dresser and paid $10.00 for speaking out of turn. Rhoann is a bleeding heart so she also passed her $20.00 recognition to Leroy. (A costly mistake).
