4 G E N E R A L INFORMAT I O N Registration: See attached registration material. Retreat Theme: The Year of the Family Activities: Shooting Sports, Hiking, Group Discussions, Living Rosary, Mass Campsite Assignments: Campsites will be assigned by the Camporee Staff. Unit Insurance: Each Unit Leader is responsible for knowing and monitoring what events their age group is capable of participating in per the guide lines of their chartered organization and insurance coverage. Tour Permits/Permission Slips: Tour Permits are required for each Cub or Boy Scout Group attending Camporee. Permission Slips and Health History forms for Girl Scouts. Arrival and Campsite Setup: Upon arrival at camp, you will be welcomed at check in. No Camping allowed in the open fields, camping is only allowed in the designated campsites. Vehicles and trailers must be moved to a designated parking area. Roads must remain clear. Final Registration: After troops arrive at camp and complete check-in, an adult leader must bring the attendance roster and any unpaid fees to the Administration Area. Group packets will be provided to groups at the opening ceremony including schedule and event maps. First Aid will be available at Administration. Driving/Parking: Parking is limited to the designated parking areas. No parking will be allowed on the road. Roads must remain clear. Checkout Instructions: Each group campsite must be inspected by the Camporee Staff before departing. Come by the Headquarters to notify staff you are leaving the property. Trash Disposal: Since there is only one trash dumpster at the Camp, each troop must take all of their trash with them when they leave. Opening Ceremony Flag Display: Saturday, at 8:45 AM. 5 Advance Registration Information Please register as soon as possible, as we need to pay for the patches, etc. Make Checks Payable to the: Diocese of Memphis. C/O Chuck Martin 1497 Wolf Ridge Drive Collierville, TN Attn: Catholic Scouting Retreat You may use this form as a record of your registration. However, you should bring a copy of your receipt with you to registration (this avoids any misunderstandings about advance payments). When registering, you should register your "best guess" as to how many Scouts and Adults will be attending the Retreat. Any adjustments will be made at check in on Friday night. When registering your Troop at the Retreat on Friday night, you will need: 1. Proof of prior Registration (a copy of the advance registration form) 2. The Final Registration of Scouts and Adults attending the Retreat. 3. Cash or check to pay final registration fees for any "stragglers". 4. Tour Permit. 5. An accurate Final Patrol Roster listing Den / Troop Names participating in the Retreat. Fees: The Retreat advance registration fee (paid before November 6 th ) is $20.00 per individual Scout, $10 per individual adult, children under 5 free or $70.00 maximum per immediate family. This is the fee for anyone attending for the day or camping. Fees cover insurance costs, patches, awards, as well as, Saturday Lunch & Supper, and other necessary expenses. All other meals are on your own. After November 6 th the fee will increase by $5.00 per individual. An adult from each group may be assigned to supply additional supervision with some activities/events as the Retreat Staff deems necessary. Training Level information: 1. Each group needs to have a trained CPR/First aid person. 2. Camping person (Girl Scout Camping 101 or 105 or Cub Scout Baloo or Boy Scout WoodBadge Page 5

7 Scout Leaders, This permission form is for those Boy Scout, Girl Scouts and American Heritage Girls who wish to participate in the High Ropes and Zip Line Activities at the 2015 All Scouts Retreat, Saturday November 14 th This form MUST be completed and presented when the scout arrives at the C.O.P.E. course. NO EXCEPTIONS!! If a scout arrives at the C.O.P.E. course without a completed and signed permission form he/she will NOT be allowed to participate. I give permission for (scout s name) to participate in the C.O.P.E. elements of the facilities at Camp Currier including the high ropes course and zip lines. 11 Directions to Camp Currier Address: 9700 Highway 304, Hernando, MS Phone: From Memphis Take I-55 South to (exit #283, I-69). Proceed West on Highway I-69, to the Highway #301 Exit (Arkabutla Lake). Turn left on Highway #301 and proceed South to Highway #304. Turn Right onto Highway #304 and proceed West approximately 1 mile. Camp Currier Road will be on the right, before entering a left hand curve. Look for the wooden sign saying "Camp Currier" No Camping allowed in the open fields, camping is only allowed in the designated campsites. Vehicles and trailers must be moved to a designated parking area. Roads must remain clear. Page 11
