Rll Call: Chairpersn Dustin Fuller Vice Chairpersn Ernest Smith Cmmissiners James Chaney; Steve Rssi Absent: Le Orange Sr. City Staff present: Parks and Recreatin Directr Glick; City Clerk Venegas; Recreatin Crdinatr Taylr. 2. INFORMATION ONLY Lemre Yuth Sprts Park Update: Parks and Recreatin Directr Glick stated the City fficially tk ver n July 2, A sccer event was held n Labr Day weekend and Lemre Yuth Sccer League has been playing every Saturday with practices during the week. Rental requests have been received including a middle schl league. There will be tw high schl turneys in December. Rugh estimates fr lighting fr the fur sftball fields has been received. Seeking funding surces fr the lighting. 5. INFORMATION ONLY Lemre Yuth Sprts Fundatin: Parks and Recreatin Directr Glick stated the Lemre Yuth Sprts Fundatin wants t remain active and be a funding surce fr yuth sprts. There is a meeting next Thursday. Ptential fr a Parks and Recreatin Cmmissiner t be part f the Fundatin. 6. INFORMATION ONLY Special City Wide Events: Parks and Recreatin Directr Glick stated the Parks and Recreatin staff are prcessing a significant amunt f events. A list is as fllws: BMX Natinal Event - Octber 19 th -21 st Lemre Yuth Gld Turnament Octber 27 th KFUN Dia De Ls Muerts Octber 28 th at Kings Lins Park Rtary Crab Feed Nvember 3 rd at 6pm at CMC 1

3 7. INFORMATION ONLY Recreatin Update: Parks and Recreatin Crdinatr Taylr stated flag ftball is underway with 300 participants. A new part-time emplyee has been hired t assist. The Recreatin Guide is in the develpment stages. Intent is t send ut t residents the last week f December. 8. INFORMATION ONLY Lemre Parks and Recreatin Facebk Page: Parks and Recreatin Crdinatr Taylr stated there are 6,800 fllwers n Facebk. It is a great advertisement tl. Staff updates n a daily basis if needed. Facebk ntifies if n activity n yur page within a few days. Facebk allws advertisement f a prgram that is nt in the Rec Guide. Allws advertisement f city wide events and t recgnize partners/spnsrs as well. Outdr adult sccer pickup games will be held at Lins Park beginning next Mnday and every week thereafter fr $5/player. 9. INFORMATION ONLY Breakfast with Santa: Parks and Recreatin Crdinatr Taylr expects 1,000 peple. This is a Lemre Lins Club event. There is a family pack fr admissin which is five breakfasts fr $30. Credit card payments will be accepted at the frnt windw. Yuth participants in the Breakfast with Santa event will receive a breakfast ticket but the parents will nt. 10. INFORMATION ONLY Upcming Events: Parks and Recreatin Crdinatr Taylr prvided dates/times f the upcming events and stated vlunteers are appreciated. Lemre Yuth Glf Turnament Octber 27 th - $65 entry fee currently 10 teams but wuld like t duble Veterans Day 5K run 3K walk Nvember 10 th at 8am - $30 fr run, $25 fr walk Art and Craft Shw Nvember 11 th 12pm t 8pm - $20 per vendr, free t patrns 5 th Annual Veterans Day Parade Nvember 11 th at 6pm Sweets fr Senirs December 7 th at 8am Free breakfast, entertainment and desserts Drama Club Play Tiny Tes recital 11. COMMISSIONER REPORTS AND REQUESTS: Cmmissiner Chaney has nt seen any real prblems at City Park. Unable t speak with anyne due t limited mbility but mbility issues reslved and will resume nrmal rutine f park. Cmmissiner Rssi said if the Plice Department Explrers are needed, please and ask. Cmmissiner Fuller inquired if the Recreatin Guide wrks. Crdinatr Taylr stated the Rec Guide is a phenmenal tl. Cmmissiner Fuller asked fr cnsensus t place the Rec Guide n the next agenda.
