2 4. PRESIDENT S REPORT PRESIDENT S REPORT Stephen Ibbtt Since last meeting n 11 th July, we ve had a busy calendar. Mick stepped away frm VTAS cmmittee; we all thank him greatly fr his time with us, but lk frward t a cntinuing relatinship. Weekly cmpetitins recmmenced in Launcestn, Burnie and Hbart with State League cming t a clse last Saturday n August 18 th. Anj Jenni has left KSC t manage the Hbart Aquatic Centre; Steve Dimsey is still main cntact fr ur cntract. Signed new hire agreement with EC same hurs/details, new template. Keep reprting hurs used. Several grant prcesses are underway: state grants prgram, minr grants prgram (equipment) and ptentially sme ther cmmunity grants. With yet anther withdrawal frm VA s prpsed AVL structure, the league was cancelled t be replaced by a 3-day turnament in Melburne 7-9December. Opprtunity t participate exists fr Tasmania, hwever, player lists may be impacted by FIVB internatinal transfer fees and funding. Cnfirmatin t VA required by 31 August. UTS has ffered venue/dates fr friendly matches during Nvember, leading up t AVL weekend. Hun & Channel primary schls event next Tuesday 28 th August at Kingbrugh SC. Any help appreciated. WAV funding 2b: Steve met again with VA t agree n sme metrics (KPI s) relating t funding $12k ver 2yrs twards Gilly s traineeship & prvide Spikezne equipment t schls that have n gear r funding. All srted nw, just need t invice VA quarterly $1500+GST. Met with TVA caches, VTAS Exec and Triin last week t discuss junir pathways and disseminatin f infrmatin. Memberships Steve is planning a trip t Burnie during September t speak with the BVA cmmittee abut Frtix; might be able t stp by Launcestn n the way if we can align meetings, as NTVA have agreed t adpt nline registratins frm Members f the Karen cmmunity are playing vlleyball regularly n Mndays 6-8pm at Glenrchy Primary Schl. Steve met with the lead guy this week (basically unstructured games separated by gender n badmintn ples) & will keep talking t Migrant Resurce Centre abut pssible ways t include r help them.

TREASURER S REPORT TREASURER S REPORT Brady Williams Pretty much back n tp f things since returning Referee payments have been srted fr the Autumn seasn New suthern league fees have been sent Payments have started t trickle in AVSC depsits have started t cme in ($250) invices are being generated each time there is a depsit. There are sme students wh have already depsited mney wh are nt TVA registered This infrmatin has been passed n t Tim Thanks t Steve fr helping ut with the treasury side f things while he was away. Fllw up with Hutch / TVA caches regarding depsits and unregistered athletes 6. Junir Develpment Peter Hutchinsn There has nt been much develpment in this frm the previus reprt Whether we wuld lk at sending peple away t play r t develp - This has been an unppular apprach as peple are reluctant t pay their wn way. - We are unable t use any f ur current grant applicatins There has already been discussin abut this previusly and it is dcumented in the minutes that were circulated. 7. Spnsrship Steve Flude Steve has sent arund the minr grants prgram applicatin . This was a minr grant prgram where we can apply fr up t $10,000 - Has asked fr a qute s that we have rugh prices n all f the equipment - Banners frm 2017 grant have been prgressed and we are nw waiting n apprpriate artwrk t be prvided t the banner prduces befre prductin can be cmpleted - The entertainment bks have been bught, this includes 3 bks that have been pre purchased, we need t sell at least 1 mre t ensure that we break even n this cst - Interest has been lackluster frm the students in fundraising.

Officiating Mark Thmas Previus reprt was accepted including the suggestins and changes that Adrian has prvided - The payment schedule was altered slightly in wrding t nw read Scial, 3 Set, 5 Set Hw and when the level 1 referee curse will be delivered and pssible dates fr that - Shuld the clubs be apprached in regards t hlding a level 1 curse at their wn club trainings? Acquire badges fr Level 1 referees - These need t be wrn t assure that yu are getting paid fr the game Mark t meet with Chris t discuss what we expect and the expectatins f the clubs with their respnsibilities - Can we enfrce that all clubs underg a mandatry referee sessin prir t the next cmpetitin start; t ensure that all referees are cmpliant t level 1 Need t rder a variety f badges fr Vlleyball Tasmania referees Update and submit schedule fr publishing t clubs / website AA. Other Discussin and new business Varius - We have been invited t jin the NSW beach vlleyball develpment camp with the nly cst being airfares and sme fd fr the duratin f the camp Octber, fllwed by a NSW junir turnament n 13 th. 12y. t 17y. This requires a cach t accmpany them and shuld we be cvering the cst f the cach wh is accmpanying them - Triin has been nminated fr the (currently absent) secretary psitin. This was put t a vte t the flr. Passed by unanimus vte. Triin accepted this psitin with the prvis that she is nt slely respnsible fr rganizing the minutes (this was unanimusly accepted by everyne at the table that minute taking culd be shared equally amng all bard members)
