1 Ulysses Club Waikat Branch COMMITTEE MEETING Held at Mick s residence, 17 Brkbank Place, Hamiltn n 30 Nvember 2015 cmmencing at 7:35pm. Present: Glen Shrek Prctr, Lawrence Gse Gsnell, Anthny Ftrt Ml-krijnan, Athl Thmpsn Rwena Smith, Mark Empsn and Mick Aldred Observer Wayne Green Aplgies: Nil Mark received a text message frm Mrris this evening stating that he had been struggling with the secretary s rle and that he n lnger wanted t cntinue with this rle. Lawrence had a meeting with Mrris the prir Wednesday and Mrris had been given sme assistance with what the rle required and ptins f hw t best manage the dcumentatin and was keen t cntinue at that time. Lawrence thanked Mrris fr his effrts in giving this a g fr the branch. Lawrence had discussed with Rger Green earlier the pssibility f this eventuating and Rger had indicated that he wuld fill the rle fr a shrt time, Lawrence t cnfirm this with Rger. Purera Frest Rally went well with smewhere near 60 participants ver the weekend, thanks t Neville fr running the rally again this year. Neville had a discussin abut the Tkra equipment at the rally, this has been dnated t a lcal Tkra grup. Weka cmmented that he culd pssibly arrange fr a DOC ranger t visit in future years and that this may add value t the Rally. Treasurer s Reprt. 2 CCF Charity Ride Reprt (Ty Run) Bank accunt fr Charity Ride. Rw presented the frms t pen the charity ride bank accunt which were filled in by Athl, Lawrence and herself. Rw t ldge with Bank and reprt back if there are any issues. Incming cash. Rwena as the treasurer will handle the banking f the incming cash Chris frm Child Cancer has arranged with Westpac Bank t be pen in Franktn during the event and they will cunt and depsit the funds as a cmmunity service Rw t cntact Chris fr further details n this. Raffle Tickets. The Ambassadr Htel ffered Franktn Thunder a Clarin Suites accmmdatin prize package t use fr a raffle, Franktn Thunder have ffered this t us as a prize fr ur raffle. - Lawrence t cntact the Ambassadr Htel and check if they are happy with the prize being transferred t us. Rw t talk t Chris t see if the Child Cancer Fundatin will lk after the printing f tickets fr the raffle. GENERAL BUSINESS Anthny: - Franktn Thunder have a flat in the Hamiltn Christmas parade and have invited us t have a cuple f bikes behind there flat After sme discussin it was decided that it wuld be difficult t rganise bikes at under a weeks ntice. Rw has a branch flag that culd be used n the flat Anthny t ffer this t Franktn Thunder and liaise with Rw if it is required. Glen: - Asked if there had been any feedback n the use f Facebk fr rides? There has been n feedback t date. Discussin cncluded that it is an ptin t put imprmptu rides n Facebk but this shuld nt be the nly ptin and that the runs list shuld cntinue. The attendance at rides is t be mnitred and cnsideratin be given t the frequency f rides in the new year. Anthny expressed a cncern ver the use f Facebk where the ride psted clashes with an rganised club ride. The general cnsensus was that s lng as the ride is cnsiderably different frm the club ride in type r duratin it will just be anther ptin that may appeal t members that wuld nt usually d the club ride. Mick: - A grup, pssibly Hamiltn East Rugby Club are arranging a car and bike display in February smetime and suggested that we may want t supprt this. The grup has his cntact details and we will cnsider this when he has mre infrmatin.
