Camp Fire Minnesta is cmmitted t making camp accessible t as many yuth as pssible. Our camp schlarships (camperships) prvide assistance t families fr whm payment f the full tuitin is nt pssible. Camperships are awarded based n financial need and funds available. Please nte, campership awards are nt guaranteed fr applicants. Campers may initially request a campership t attend ne sessin (ne week). Parents/guardians with mre than ne camper may apply fr ne campership per camper. Determining Financial Need We knw that many factrs beynd incme affect a family s finances. We cnsider all infrmatin presented in this applicatin when evaluating campership requests. The 201 Pverty Guidelines belw are a reference pint fr determining financial assistance. If yu d nt fit within the belw guidelines, but have financial hardship frm medical bills, husing expenses, etc. please give thse details in the Circumstances sectin f the applicatin. 2 Be patient! We prcess applicatins in grups; making awards n a mnthly basis beginning in February. Yu will receive ntice n yur campership award via r phne. Get ready fr summer fun at Tanadna! If yu are granted a campership yu will receive an Award Letter via with the dllar amunt f the schlarship yu receive. Yur camper(s) will be registered nline and yu will be required t cmplete the "Health Frm / Camper Infrmatin" by April 1st r within tw weeks f receiving yur schlarship award. Frm must be cmplete BEFORE the camper arrives at camp. Thank yu Cards At the end f summer, we will send an envelpe t yur huse that cntains several blank thank yu cards and a pre-paid envelpe t mail thse cards back t us. Why d we ask fr Thank Yu s? Our generus dnrs have asked that we prvide feedback frm families wh receive financial assistance in the frm f thank yu cards. We encurage yu and yur camper(s) t be creative and include yur favrite aspects f camp with wrds and drawings! Feel free t use markers, crayns, r clred pencils t make these Thank Yus extra special. Imprtant If yu have an utstanding balance frm a previus year, that balance is due upn registratin plus the $ registratin fee. Failure t pay utstanding balances will impact yur ability t secure registratin in 201. FAQs What if I want t apply fr several weeks f camp? Please submit nly ne preferred week per camper n yur applicatin. We award ne sessin at a time in rder t help as many campers as pssible. If multiple weeks are requested per camper, we will cntact yu fr yur first preference. After we have granted camperships t a majrity f ur families, we will accept campership applicatins fr additinal weeks. I received a campership last year. D I autmatically get ne this year? N. Camperships are awarded based n financial need in a first cme, first serve basis. While we try t give supprt t all families, we ask that yu send yur applicatin as sn as pssible t make sure it is reviewed while funds are available. My financial circumstances d nt fit inside federal pverty guidelines. Can I still apply? Abslutely! We use many different ways t evaluate wh qualifies fr a campership. If yu are paying mre fr medical bills, husing, r have anther situatin with financial hardship, let us knw in the special circumstances sectin f the applicatin (n pg. 1). I d nt need t have my camper s entire sessin fee cvered. Can I apply fr a partial schlarship? Yes and in fact we encurage that! Please be sure t fill ut the I can cntribute this amunt bx n pg. _. Many families cntribute as much as they can t their camper s sessin fees. This helps us then t cntribute twards as many individual camperships as pssible.
