1 Webels Wds 2016 Native American Culture Narragansett Cuncil, Camp Nrse September 23 September 25, 2016 The Webels Wds weekend camput prgram reinfrces many values imprtant t all Scuts: understanding By Scuts, appreciatin f the wrkings f a Scut Trp and the patrl methd, intrductin t advanced Scuting skills, the thrill f camping in the great utdrs, and a string desire t cntinue Scuting as a By Scut in a by-run Trp. Registratin Packs and Trps shuld register nline at the Narragansett cuncil web site. If yur unit wuld like t run a statin, r wuld like t reserve a campsite please cntact Greg Turgiss at: gregry.turgiss@capecd.edu IMPORTANT: Only ne vehicle will be allwed in the campsites at a time t unlad trp / pack gear! Check-in/check-ut Webels and their leaders, parents and adult partners shuld check in with their spnsring By Scut Trp n Saturday mrning. Spnsring trps can als help with meal planning and equipment. If yu can t lcate a trp t match up with, let us knw and we might be able t help yu find ne. The intent here is fr all Webels t attend with a Trp. Trps with their guests may arrive at Camp Nrse beginning at 6:30PM n Friday evening. Please send a representative t the Administratin Building t check-in when yu arrive. Packs wishing t arrive n Friday night may check-in at the Administratin Building beginning at 7:00pm. They must wait until their spnsring trp has checked-in. A package cntaining the weekend s activities will be distributed after a rster and health histry f ALL Scuts, Scuters, parents and camping guests is presented. One vehicle may prceed t the camping area fr 1

2 Webels Wds 2016 unlading, but the vehicle MUST be mved t a designated parking area afterwards. Participatin ribbns will be available upn checkut. Please have yur site inspected befre leaving. Depsits fr buildings will be returned after the Campmaster has inspected the facility. Trps running a statin Trps planning t run a statin n Saturday shuld register with the event rganizer, Greg Turgiss. Please keep the theme in mind when planning yur trp s activity. We need statins n Native American Culture, hw they lived. Check yur Scut Handbk, Indian Lre Merit Badge Bk, r the website; Fr ideas fr yur statin. Please send yur activity and where yu wuld like t run it. (gregry.turgiss@capecd.edu) Campfire If yur unit wuld like t present a skit at the Saturday night campfire, please let Greg Turgiss knw abut it by Saturday Mrning. Last year s campfire was a great success. Let s d it again! Friday Cracker-barrel The SPL and Scutmaster shuld attend the cracker barrel n Friday night held at the Dining Hall. Last minute annuncements and schedules will be available at this time. The event is imprtant t keep everyne up-t-date n weekend news. Ntes: A patch, Jambree style campsite and unit flag participatin ribbn are included in the $8.00 per persn fee which is due at check-in time. 2

Each Pack and Trp can bring smething t cntribute t the cracker barrel n Friday night. Class A unifrm required fr all Scuts fr flag ceremnies. N camuflage clthing r clthing with ffensive wrding r images. Prper Scuting attire and behavir at all times. The Webels Wds prgram includes vernight camping and there is n single day ptin. Webels must be accmpanied by an adult partner at a 2:1 rati. Webels camping rules apply; tw deep leadership always. Packs, ask yur Trp abut helping with the fd and preparatin. All attendees must register and have medical frm and permissin slip. Cabins may be rented by units fr an additinal fee if they are nt being used fr staff r activities. N vehicles are allwed in camp except t tw the unit trailer t the site. The tw vehicle must be remved immediately after unpacking. The Trading Pst will be pen. Times will be annunced at the Friday cracker-barrel. Nte that mst sites are large enugh t cntain mre than ne unit and we will need t put mre than ne unit in each site t accmmdate all attendees. S plan n sharing the sites. Please plan n packing ut all yur trash. Dumpsters will nt be available at the camp. Pack in, Pack ut and leave n trace. Thanks.
