Overall citywide crime is dwn 11.42% YTD, in Zne 2 crime is dwn 18.33% YTD There have been n incidents at the Pker Rm. The Cmpass bank n Mnument was rbbed. The suspect did nt have a gun and his picture has been n the news. The dye pack and stlen car that was used were fund abandned. JSO als fund the hat the suspect was wearing and they may be able t get DNA ff f it. N ne had any questins. Mayr s Liaisn Kelley Bree Mayr s Business Builders Starts 8:30 AM Thursday and Friday at the Prime Osbrne Mayr launched a new website fr veterans (COJ.net, Jbs fr Veterans) Jacksnville Jazz Festival Memrial Day Weekend U.S. Men s Sccer Natinal vs. Sctland May 26. Tickets are available n COJ.net. Mayr s Office submitted preliminary budget t cuncil. There s a $58 millin shrtfall. The final presentatin is July 16 th. FDOT (Flrida Department f Transprtatin) Jim Green FDOT will be starting a new Dames Pint Bridge prject t replace the suth barrier wall. Prject shuld last until the end f the year. Suthside resurfacing prject with JEA shuld be finished this summer. The majrity f the prjects are n I295 als knwn as 9A. The resurfacing frm St. Jhns Bluff t Mnument is scheduled t be cmpleted this fall. I295/9A sign replacement with name and number change cmpleted this summer. FDOT is currently behind schedule in installing the ITS features because f cntractr issues. Wrk is dne ff the rad and shuld nt affect traffic. A cntractr will be selected in June fr a traffic signal prject n Atlantic Blvd. between Glynlea and Caravan trail. Municipal Cde Cmpliance Divisin nt present Planning & Develpment Paul Davis PD has psted zning actins frm time t time with exceptins and cnditins t allw special use f an area. With all the exceptin applicatins that were put in place ver the last year and a half they are verifying if the cnditins are being implemented. Currently there are five r six that are already in the enfrcement prcess. There are tw mre that have been sent t Municipal Cde Cmpliance t ensure thse are nw implemented. There are a number f deep water accesses t the cean (Scanln, Intracastal and Oak Harbr under cnstructin). Nn-mtrized watercraft pints (Blue Cypress and Reddie Pint Preserve) signs are psted t identify the lcatin as a launching pint. Pls Swimming lessns are available at Fletcher and Terry Parker High Schls. Registratin frms are available nline at JaxParks.cm. Summer Camps Hanna Park Ocean Camp Blue Cypress Enrichment Camp All summer camp registratins are May 15 th nline. Trails Arlingtn Regin, Castaway Island, Ed Austin, Hffman, Arbretum, Reddie Pint and Tree Hill Park Naturalist Prvided envirnmental educatin prgrams. Registratin is available nline at JaxParks.cm. (Brught activity guides with the available training) Tennis Curts Tennis is ppular in the area. (Shwed a map f tennis curts in the area) Outside f area Parks Bethesda is a specialty park. It is handicap accessible and barrier free. Overnight cabins, bardwalk. A few f the prgram they ffer are; Alzheimer s, senir dances, life skills, service dg training, etc. Beachwd Park Cmmunity Center Partnership with River Regin and UNF. There s yuth and intergeneratinal prgramming, where yuth and senirs in the area are partnered. Summer Night Lights Teen prgram t reduce crime in the intercity areas. Events will be at Charles Clark Park, Clanzel Brwn Park, Emmett Reed Center, H.T. Jnes Park and Mitchell Center frm June 22nd August 11 th. They were ging t wrk each divisin separately and will be cntacting the HOA t increase the membership. They are currently wrking n a letter t t these assciatins. Starting with grup #4 (East Arlingtn). The gal is t have all cmpleted by the end f the year. Questins: Nne Transprtatin Ben Tucker City Cuncil established a Ferry Cmmittee. Jim Greene (FDOT) - Waiting n the ver 3,000 surveys that were cnducted in a fur day perid. Results will be in by the n Thursday. Ben Tucker There is a verbal cmmitment that FDOT will fund the ferry fr ne year. Nthing in writing but it has the attentin f the Gvernr.
