Discover some of s best rainforest views, stretching out as far as Auckland City and beyond to the sparkling waters of the Waitemata Harbour. Just over half an hour s drive from downtown Auckland, you can arrive at well in time to take advantage of all the surrounding Waitakere region has to offer. 4 MEET OUR TEAM MEET THE TEAM Our Events Coordinator Suzie Rosewarne will book your event at Heritage Collection. From the initial enquiry and quote through the process of booking, contracting and co ordinating, she will assist you at every stage. Suzie will lead you through venue options, set up options, audio visual equipment requirements and menu and beverage selection.suzie will develop your run sheet, greet you on the day of your event, reconfirm the details and provide you with the Health and Safety brief. During the course of your event Suzie will be on hand to ensure all things are running smoothly. Our front of house team led by Bruce, our restaurant manager will take care of food and beverage service and re-set and replenish your conference room during the breaks. There will always be a friendly face on hand to make sure all your requirement are met. Suzie & Bruce MEET KAMAL SINGH, YOUR CHEF Here at we provide sophisticated and delicious menus prepared from local fresh produce. Our menus also have plant based dishes and cater for a number of dietary requirements. We have also adopted the Heritage Hotels Good Food Project offering our guests nutritional and sustainable food including a Raw Breakfast Bar where nothing is cooked above 41 degrees celcius so food maintains its nutritional value. 5 THE WAITAKERE RANGES Lush native rainforest, rugged coastline and windswept, black-sand beaches. This 160-sq-km wilderness was covered in kauri until the mid-19th century, when logging claimed most of the giant trees. A few stands of ancient kauri and other mature natives survive amid the dense bush of the regenerating rainforest, which is now protected inside the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park. Bordered to the west by wildly beautiful beaches on the Tasman Sea, the park s rugged terrain makes an excellent day trip from Auckland. Explore over 250 kilometres of walking tracks, from short, easy walks to the famous four-day Hillary Trail tramp. Discover the rainforest s magical waterfalls Kitekite Falls, Fairy Falls and Karekare Falls. For a short walk that s suitable for the whole family, try the Kitekite Track. As tranquil as the Waitakere Ranges area is, it s also one big playground, with surfing, swimming, fishing, walking, picnicking and camping. 14 TEAM BONDING CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES There are a number of possible team activities located in the Waitakere ranges suiting a wide range of interests, ages and physical abilities. The surrounding Waitakere Ranges provide the corporate conference and incentive customer with an unlimited range of activities. Waitakere Estate will be happy to assist with recommending things to do in the Waitakere Ranges Heritage Park. We work with a number of operators for some exciting team building experiences onsite with archery, axe throwing and a number of team building exercises. For those a little more adventurous, there is dry/wet or night abseiling available. is located in the heart of Auckland s outdoor adventure region, situated not far from the spectacular black sand West Coast beaches of Piha, Karekare, Bethels and Muriwai. Tours of the local West Auckland vineyards can be arranged with Auckland s s own guided wine tours for groups of three or more persons. These tours include a guide with considerable knowledge of the local vineyards. Self drive tours of the vineyards can also be done based on a wine trail map available at the Estate. 14
