3 Welcome to Portside Hotel About Portside Hotel, Heritage s Boutique Gisborne hotel, is located on the edge of Turanganui River, offering understated elegance and personal service in an intimate, friendly atmosphere. With sophisticated studio rooms and spacious suites, Portside Hotel provides leading Gisborne Accommodation. Gisborne is the perfect destination and with Portside Hotel just a short stroll to Waikanae Beach and the city centre, it is the place to stay. Location Gisborne is one of the first places in the world to see the sunrise and both swells coming from the east and south, it is a surfer s utopia. Waikanae Beach is located in the main town and perfect for beginner surfers. Wainui Beach is located just out of town and is popular for more advanced surfers. Gisborne s classic Pacific maritime climate is sheltered by hills and right on the ocean s edge making it a perfect location for wineries. Visit the Gisborne Wine Centre, the one-stop place to head for wine tours, wine tastings and information on Gisborne s many different vineyards. 3

4 Accommodation The property has a range of spacious accommodation; studio rooms, one or two bedroom suites that can be interconnected and extended to create an extra spacious suite. Our Two Bedroom Penthouse is the perfect facility for a seminar, meeting, product launch, cocktail party and private dinner party, with an outstanding view to enjoy whilst working. Two Bedroom Penthouse The 2 Bedroom Penthouse is situated on the second floor of the building with extensive views of the river and harbour, with balconies to enjoy the vista, al fresco. The open plan dining, lounge and kitchen is generous, well appointed and fully equipped. The master bedroom, with its own balcony offering views of the river, is fitted with a Queen size bed, a very large wardrobe and a tall boy. The master ensuite offers twin sinks and a spa bath with shower over bath. The second bedroom also has its own balcony with views over the river, Queen size bed, small wardrobe and its own generous size ensuite with shower. The suite has a separate toilet facility off the main corridor, which is great for when you are entertaining guests or hosting a meeting. One Bedroom Deluxe Suite The open plan lounge and kitchen are attractively fitted with stainless steel appliances, microwave, top stove and oven, dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer, TV with SKY channels and two individually controlled air conditioning units, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom. The generous size separate bedroom is equipped with a Queen or King size bed, whilst the wardrobe, tall boy and a small cabinet make for good storage. The lounge s ranch sliders open up to a balcony or patio, with city views. The private full size bathroom has a generous size bath with shower over bath. Deluxe Studio The deluxe studios are more than just a hotel room, offering a Queen size bed, table and chair, a kitchen with crockery, glassware and cooking utensils, twin cooking elements, microwave oven, dishwasher and a small fridge for your convenience. The studios are equipped with an individual air conditioning unit, LCD TV, separate bathroom, and private balcony or patio with city views. 4
