It comes back to Latin America after 15 years. The congress will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, seminars and poster presentations. 7 CONGRESS VENUE RIOCENTRO Riocentro is considered as the best event venue in the country and offers four pavilions, one convention center, one amphitheatre and one hotel. Located in front of Parque dos Atletas and next to Vila Olímpica (Olympic Village), within an area which is widely served by public transportation, Riocentro has 2 BRT stations, in front of its main entrance gate. Abelardo Bueno and Salvador Allende avenues, the main routes to access Riocentro, have been widened in order to have five lanes in each direction. The project directly benefited urban mobility, improving traffic flow and traffic capacity in the area, mainly at rush hours. In order to get to Riocentro, people from all neighborhoods have several alternatives. In addition to the expanded access, new routes have been created. The main access to Barra da Tijuca, through the South Zone, has also been duplicated. And for those who come from the South Zone to Riocentro by public transportation, it is possible to take the subway that integrates with the lines of Transoeste and Transolimpica. But for those coming from the West Zone or Lowlands, there is Transolimpica lines transporting passengers to the new BRT stations. This easy access also applies for those coming to Riocentro through Tom Jobin International Airport, Linha Vermelha or Linha Amarela expressways. Being integrated, the routes lead to the venue in a practical and fast way. One of the greatest legacies from the Olympic Games to Riocentro, the Transolímpica expressway, is able to transport 70 thousand passengers per day. This corridor integrates with other two already existing ones (Transoeste and Transcarioca), increasing the options to passengers. This means that a large part of the city is interconnected by these new access routes. While Transoeste on Avenida das Américas connects the whole West Zone to Barra da Tijuca and to the subway network, Transolímpica has 18 BRT stations and two terminals, one on Avenida Salvador Allende and Avenida Abelardo Bueno, a few meters from Riocentro, and another one on Avenida das Américas in Recreio neighbourhood.
