2 2018 LETTER OF INVITATION On behalf of Family and Relationship Services Australia (FRSA), I am pleased to invite you to join with FRSA as a Sponsor for our National Conference 2018, which will be held from November in Cairns, QLD. Cairns is where the first FRSA Conference was held ten years ago. And we look forward to welcoming delegates back to this fabulous Conference and tourist destination. The theme this year is Be the change: Leaving no one behind. We all know that social services are on the cusp of social change and we will be building on the strengths of our network working with children, families and communities across the lifecourse. Children, families and communities that are marginalised and disadvantaged are well represented in our services and our mission to continue to serve these people as a high order priority is core to all our services. The conference will provide attendees with important opportunities to explore how we as a sector can best connect in order to better: listen to and respond to the needs of children, families and communities take care of practitioners needs as they deliver services (including connecting practitioners together) extend professional development opportunities in organisations and across the sector achieve meaningful client outcomes (that are recognised and awarded by government) increase organisations certainty over service delivery funding and sustainability achieve stronger collaboration and partnerships between service providers and better coordinate/ integrate service delivery take a prevention and early intervention approach in our service delivery across our sector coordinate our sectors efforts with that of other sectors (e.g. health, education, employment, housing, etc.); and/or improve other aspects of wellbeing for clients, practitioners, organisers, our sector and across sectors. 2 Be The Change: Leaving No One Behind

3 As always, the FRSA Conference promises to deliver a highly impressive line-up of national and international speakers, who will address a range of topics and issues with a focus on the Conference theme. FRSA Conference 2018 will be held at the Pullman Cairns International Hotel. We aim to provide a number of networking opportunities for Delegates, in particular, the FRSA Gala Dinner, a key social event of the Conference each year. The evening will be packed with exceptional entertainment, gourmet food and a fun and inviting atmosphere. The conference is expected to attract 400+ international and national delegates, including individuals and families, formal and informal services and supports, practitioners and researchers, government institutions and non-government agencies.
