3 Team Manning Valley Are you inspired and motivated to succeed? If you answered yes to this question, we invite you to be part of our growing tourism industry and partner with Team Manning Valley. In 2015/16, our Team Manning Valley partners collectively contributed $21,500 towards the promotion of our region. On top of this, we also worked with some of our partners on a marketing campaign that allowed us to receive an additional $65,500 in funding from Destination NSW to promote the Manning Valley in the Newcastle and New England markets. This funding, along with our normal budget meant that we, as a team, invested $236,000 promoting our region to visitors. We d like to build on this and are on the look out for industry and business partners to work with us to achieve bigger and better things in 2016/17. VALUE IN SUPPORTING TOURISM Impact of tourism in Manning Valley has increased over the previous period: Tourism brings over $168 million to our destination each year. 699,000 visitors come to stay, eat, explore, and use a variety of services and facilities in the Manning. Nearly 910,000 visitor nights are booked in the Manning each year. We have 365,000 day trip visitors coming to dine, fuel up, shop and experience. Team Manning Valley 2016/17 3

5 What we ve achieved Some of what we achieved in 2015/16 we stretched our marketing dollar a long way! Produced 60,000 copies of the new 52 page visitor guide. The guide is available online and being actively distributed at major consumer shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and throughout Visitor Information Centres around the state Produced and installed five new Manning Valley branded billboards along the Pacific Highway Together with Cartoscope, we produced a new free Manning Valley map with 80,000 copies printed and distributed around the state Produced 10,000 copies of the Experience the top 50 things to do booklet, which is available both online and in Visitor Information Centres throughout the Mid North Coast Marketed the region via features / advertising / copy in printed and online publications including Out & About with Kids, NRMA, The Land, New England Focus, Camping and Caravanning and the Newcastle Herald Marketed our destination via Social media campaigns and competitions Produced a double page spread in Port Macquarie s Eat, See Do, promoting our destination to day trippers Partnered with The Legendary Pacific Coast to ensure the Manning Valley is represented at International Trade Shows and is considered by the growing number of international visitors who travel along The Legendary Pacific Coast. Partnered with The Legendary Pacific Coast to ensure the Manning Valley was represented at the Caravan & Camping Shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane A BRAND NEW WEBSITE We launched a brand new mobile responsive website. Since its launch in December 2015, we ve had over 18,000 visits to the site and have generated over 2,052 referrals to partners from the website in bookings or enquiries, and with no booking/ commission fees. Partnered with Wingham Beef so the Manning Valley was marketed at the popular AgQuip event Produced, printed and distributed 10 new promotional brochures outlining specific accommodation types and activities such as Op Shop Hop, Rainy Day Fun and Winery Trails Secured $142,000 in funding for tourism improvements within the region from RestartNSW at the Taree Airport Secured $65,500 in funding from Destination NSW for a Manning Valley Marketing Campaign targeting the Newcastle and New England markets Secured the hosting of five regional hockey events over the next three years in the Manning Valley, which is estimated to bring over 2,400 competitors spending well over $1million locally Team Manning Valley 2016/17 5

10 Team Manning Valley TERMS AND CONDITIONS Manning Valley Tourism Partnership Program Terms and Conditions 1. Acknowledgement and/or completion of the application form constitutes a binding agreement to participate in the Manning Valley... naturally Tourism Partner Program (Partner Program) 2016/17 in accordance with these terms and conditions. 2. It is at the discretion of MidCoast Council to accept the inclusion of a partner into the Partner Program and associated activities. 3. On receipt of this application for the Partner Program an invoice will be raised by MidCoast Council and sent to the nominated address. 4. Participation in the Partner Program is not confirmed until the signed agreement and full payment has been received or a confirmed quarterly payment plan is approved. 5. All membership invoices must be paid within 30 days unless a direct debit arrangement is in place. Any member who becomes bankrupt or is in arrears by 30 days or more in the payment of any monies due to MidCoast Council will cease to be a member. 6. The applicant agrees to enter into a twelve (12) month membership from 1 July 2016 to 30 June The participant agrees to participate in media and trade familiarisations as required, pending availability. 8. The participant agrees to make high quality images available for promotional material and media as required 9. Members agree to pay the membership fee plus commission on accommodation bookings that have been taken through the Visitor Information Centre. 10. Commissions will be used by MidCoast Council to offset the cost of bringing major events to the region and/ or reinvested into destination marketing. 11. Any new memberships after 1 January 2017 will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. 12. Members may cancel by notifying MidCoast Council in writing. The base membership fee will be refunded based on a pro rata rate minus a $50 administration charge. Refunds will not be given where part or all of the benefits have been utilised. The cancellation will only be confirmed once MidCoast Council confirm receipt of the cancellation advice in writing. 13. Partner businesses must finalise all outstanding fees prior to transfer. 14. If any member is guilty of any conduct, which in the opinion of MidCoast Council is inappropriate, prejudicial to the interests of MidCoast Council or constitutes misconduct the member may be expelled. 15. MidCoast Council Partner Program benefits may be subject to change without notice. 16. Members must pay a full years membership to be included in publications or buy in advertising opportunities. 17. Partners must supply information for website listing including 2 4 high res images, content and contact details within 30 days of joining the program. 18. MidCoast Council reserves the right to edit any content supplied for publication to improve marketability of message. 19. Members agree to the following responsibilities by becoming a member of the Partner Program: a. operate the business in a professional and courteous manner; b. all advertising and promotion to reflect a true and accurate picture of the business; c. inform customers of all terms and conditions and adhere to these; d. treat customers equally; e. acknowledge the responsibility to meet the reasonable expectations of customers; f. handle all customer queries and concerns promptly and fairly; g. take reasonable care to ensure customer and staff health and safety; h. no customer information is disclosed which breaches an individual s right to privacy; i. all plant, equipment and products are in good working order; j. maintain appropriate public liability insurance; k. maintain all relevant license and permits to operate the business.
