Please read it carefully! preparing fr summer camp This is an incredible pprtunity t build cnfidence, grw deeper in faith, and begin t learn hw t navigate life away frm mm and dad. Belw, we ve listed three ways t get the mst ut f this experience: Pray fr and with yur camper abut their camp experience including their unit leaders, cabin leaders, and fellw campers. Talk abut and set gals such as: make a new friend, achieve an activity award, participate in Slid Rck. Cme t Family Day at the end f yur camper s prgram.this allws yu t see firsthand what yur child experienced. Yu ll als get ne-nne time with yur camper s cabin leader t talk abut their experence. daily schedule Vyageur is an epic adventure! The first few days f the prgram are spent at HneyRck where yur team will get t knw ne anther and practice basic utdr technical skills. Yu will then drive t the Bundary Waters Cane Area Wilderness. The day begins with a mrning devtin and quiet time fllwed by breakfast. Then, yur team will pack up camp and get ging fr the day! After caneing t the next campsite (yu might see sme wildlife alng the way!) yu ll set up camp, relax, ck gd fd, and partake in cmmunity wrship and discussin.yu ll see the night sky as yu ve never seen it befre maybe even catch a glimpse f the Nrthern Lights! The final day(s) will be spent back at HneyRck fr reflectin and clsure. Yu ll experience life at HneyRck and engage with ther high schl campers. packing fr camp Prescriptin Medicatins All medicatins must be given t the camp nurse at Check In. They will be distributed during the sessin nly under health service advisement. We ask nn-prescriptin medicatins (e.g. Advil) and herbal supplements are nt sent with yur camper. This is a great pprtunity t grw respnsibility in yur camper - if yu have expectatins fr hw the mney is r is nt spent, have the cnversatin befre camp and reflect n after the sessin has ended! Setting up the Accunt All sales in stre are n an accunt-nly basis. These accunts shuld be set up prir t camp as yu register nline. Yu may add t this accunt at any time thrugh yur camper s itinerary. We recmmend $30 fr each week yur camper attends camp with a $10 minimum. Family Day This is an awesme pprtunity t step int yur camper s shes and get a taste f his r her experience. Yu can expect t participate in many activities, meet with yur camper s cunselr(s), share a picnic fr dinner n the frnt lawn, and mre! While there is n charge fr participatin, yu must register yur family t attend. Parents are invited t arrive as early as 1:30 pm n their family day. Please be sure t talk with yur camper abut hw they are getting hme s that they are nt surprised n departure day! by family car Arrival 2-3pm If yu are driving yur child directly t camp, please arrive between 2:00 3:00 fr check-in n the day the camp sessin begins. Upn arrival ur staff will direct yu t the check-in area. Departure - 7:45am If yu are picking up yur child frm camp n the last day f the sessin, please arrive prmptly at 7:45am t lad yur camper s luggage befre picking them up at 8am. A parent r legal guardian will need t sign yur camper ut with their cunselr befre departing. If smene ther than the parent r legal guardian is picking up yur camper, r mail the Transprtatin Authrizatin Frm t ur ffice at least 1 week prir t the departure date. by airplane If yur child is flying t camp, we ask that they fly int t Rhinelander Oneida Cunty Airprt (RHI preferred) r Central Wiscnsin Airprt (CWA) in Msinee, WI. HneyRck is nt respnsible fr the cst f extra luggage r any unaccmpanied minr fees. There is n charge fr HneyRck shuttle service t r frm CWA r RHI airprts. Once yur reservatin is made, please the cell phne numbers f bth yu and yur camper t the Registratin Crdinatr. Arrival Please arrange arrival int CWA by 2:00 pm r RHI by 3:30 pm n the day the camp sessin begins. by hneyrck bus This is ur mst cmmnly used transprtatin ptin! Busses are equipped with a bathrm and cmfrtable seating we als prvide an activity bklet f cnversatin starters, riddles, wrd games, and trivia. There is at least ne HneyRck staff member n each bus t mnitr campers and ensure their wellbeing. We make a lunch stp at a rest area near Madisn fr campers t stretch their legs and eat a prvided lunch. Return transprtatin t Madisn, Rckfrd, and Wheatn stps is available fr a $75 fee. Please nte that depending n numbers we may send a smaller van, driven by trained and certified HneyRck staff. Special Ntes Snacks and water are permitted n the bus. Thse with knwn airbrne nut allergies will be seated n a nut-free bus. Please d nt send yur child n the bus with gum, sda, cell phne, ipd, r similar electrnic device r game.
