Secnd pririty will be staff with previus camp experience. Additinal cnsideratin will be given t wrkshp tpics needed, therefre list all titles f wrkshps that yu have presented that yu feel wuld be imprtant r f interest t yuth. GENERAL INFORMATION: *The camp will have campers this year. *Advisrs must each d a wrkshp in their area f expertise. *Cunselrs stay in the cabins with the campers *Administrative Staff will assist the Camp staff in carrying ut the functins f camp, supprt t wrkshp presenters, registratin, cpying, and ther duties as defined by Camp Directrs *All psitins are vlunteer psitins REQUIREMENTS: *Staff must be available t be at Camp frm Saturday July 11 thrugh July 17, n exceptins. This is the Camp Staff s time t bnd, be trained and finalize the schedule befre the Campers arrive. We must all be n the same page and prepare the Camp fr arrival day. Staff need t arrive at camp n July 11 by 3:00 and cannt leave until all campers g hme n Friday July 17 at NOON. Campers arrive Mnday, July 13 at 2:00. *CAMP MEETINGS- Staff must be available t attend any scheduled meetings prir t Camp. These meetings will be annunced nce applicatins are received. *CRAZY OUTFIT: Bring a crazy utfit/wigs t greet the Campers when they arrive n Mnday at 2:00. *TALENT SHOW: Bring talent ideas, cstumes, music fr talent night (Advisrs and Cunselrs perfrm in grups), nt an ptin. Be prepared! Cunselrs will perfrm with their cabins. *Optinal: Yu may bring a cultural item fr exchange r perfrm a cultural activity fr culture night. *Map f camp is included. 5 Required: Optinal: DON Ts THINGS TO BRING Staff Sleeping bag yu will be sleeping n a bed with n sheets r pillws. Extra blanket - if the sleeping bag isn t warm enugh. Sheets - if yu want t cver the mattress. Talent utfits, music fr talent night and a crazy ut fit t greet Campers n Mnday Bucket r cntainer t carry all yur wn persnal hygiene supplies back and frth t the bathrm. The bathrms are within shrt walking distance f yur cabin. Twel, wash clth and all yur wn persnal tiletries. Flashlight with batteries t walk back and frth t the bathrm and campfire at night. Bug repellent, sunscreen, and simple rain pnch Medicine - if needed. All medicine including aspirin will need t be identified and checked in with the medic upn arrival. Pants and ther apprpriate attire (it is a camp with uneven landscape) Yu will need prtectin fr yur legs at all times. Tennis shes these are the best prtectin fr yur feet and will help yu avid injuries. Jacket r sweatshirt. The evenings can be cl. (40 50 degrees) Optinal fr Staff: Cultural dress fr Culture Night. Please identify anything that yu wuld like t have secured. We will d the best we can. Be sure it is clearly marked with yu name and Tribe and put in a bag r cntainer. Everyne bringing an item will be receiving an item t take hme with them frm anther Tribe during Culture Night. Pcket Mney if yu wuld like t have mney fr extras, we recmmend abut $20. The camp has a fully stcked stre with t-shirts, stuffed animals, gift items, persnal care, candy bars, bttled water etc. Inexpensive dispsable camera- if yu want t take pictures f new friends NO gang attire. N pen ted shes, flip flps r sandals. CD Players, CDs r, game bys are discuraged. There wuld be limited time fr them t be used and nly during cabin time. We will nt be respnsible fr stlen articles. Travel apprx. 9 miles n Hwy 89A up scenic Mingus Muntain (14 miles frm Glassfrd Hill Intersectin) fllwing the brwn MINGUS RECREATION AREAS signs as yu travel the last few miles befre the summit. The muntain summit, where yu will turn, is lcated between mile markers 336 & 337 Turn right at the Mingus Summit Picnic Area which is identified by a large paved USFS parking/picnic area. Yu will see 4 mailbxes n yur right (ne fr the camp), immediately after turning Fllw the Frest Service dirt rad straight up 3 miles t the Mingus Mtn. United Methdist Camp (USFS signage refers t the camp as Camp Mingus). Our Camp is n the left side f the rad just beynd a small fishing lake. Please DO NOT mistake Mingus Mtn.
