2 AUSTRALIAN EMC EXPERIENCE NOVEMBER 10th - 1th, The Lakes Resort Hotel, The inaugural IEEE Global Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference (GEMCCON) will be held on 10-1 November 015 in Adelaide, Australia (GEMCCON 015). This marks the beginning of an event aimed at seeding interest, awareness and commitment in the field of electromagnetic compatibility of complex electronic systems. The three day event will contain technical presentations, posters, workshops and tutorials. The program is a balance between theoretical papers representing the latest research, and tutorials, workshops and applications notes. The audience will come from industry and academia from Australia, Asia-Pacific and around the world. Presenters are experts in their fields; many of them decision makers for the acquisition of equipment and selection of services. Workshops are intended to introduce various aspects of EMC to people new to the field and to refresh seasoned practitioners. We are fortunate to have world class keynote speakers Mr Fred Heather from the NAVAIR E3 Testing facility at Patuxent River in the US and Mr Chris Burns, CEO of Defence Teaming Centre Inc. Together with the technical programs two social activities are offered to further networking opportunities. The first is a welcome function which will take place at the venue s Bistro and cocktail lounge.
