3 EXPO MESSAGE Register for industry s first ever Australasia and Expo, showcase your product and meet the whole industry: bus and coach operators, government, suppliers, service and financial professionals, tourism and hospitality providers. The Bus Industry Confederation (BIC) and the Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC) are relocating to the Gold Coast from Sunday September 28 to Wednesday October 1, The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is a fantastic single level venue for industry to display buses, coaches, air-cons, software, gadgets, gizmos and everything in between! The Expo will kick off Monday morning with delegates having ample time to peruse the Expo over 2 days with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea also being served the entire length of the Expo hall. The will also host a special Bus Show media event with VIP guests on Monday. plenary sessions will run all day Monday and Tuesday morning up to lunch. Delegates attending conference plenary sessions on Monday will also be able to choose between either a National based program (coordinated by BIC) or a State focussed program (coordinated by QBIC). We encourage suppliers to participate in all of the conference plenary sessions and social events and take full advantage of the networking opportunities. Cancellations All cancellations must be received in writing to the Organiser and will take effect from the date of receipt: > Cancellations received 30 days or more prior to Friday 26th September 2014 will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the full rate > > Cancellations received within 30 days of Friday 26 th September 2014 is NON-REFUNDABLE and therefore incurs a cancellation fee of 100% of the full rate. Exhibition Conditions Exhibition Area Allocation The Exhibition Floor plan and space availability can be viewed online at Display preferences are not allocated until payment is received. Payment must be received by the Organiser by 22nd August. Exhibition Area Restrictions All display material must remain within the confines of your allocated display space. If you intend to hold any special activity or attraction, these must be coordinated with the Organiser. Exhibition Display Booths, Furniture and Carpet Moreton Hire is the sole Exhibition Display Provider and will build display booths to the standard shell scheme inclusive of standard lighting, power, 1.8m trestle table and 2 chairs. Any other furniture and additional lighting/power can also be supplied by Moreton Hire. Moreton Hire does not provide lighting, power or furniture to Vehicle Display (non booth) area as a part of the standard display package. Equipment, furniture and light/power Display Order Forms will be made available after your Exhibitor Display Form and full payment has been received and processed. Carpet is provided by Moreton Hire as a part of your Exhibition Display area. Installation of any other flooring variation to the carpet provided must be coordinated with the Organiser. Outdoor vehicle display areas is on natural grass lawn and no other alternative flooring is permitted. Power Usage The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre charges for any power usage in your display area outside of exhibition opening times. Contact the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre for additional information on power and associated charges (eg. overnight power). Dock Access for Bump-in and Bump-out The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is located at the Corner of T E Peters Drive and the Gold Coast Highway Broadbeach. The Loading Dock is via the Western Service Ramp off the Northern Car Park Entrance. Delivery of banners, equipment or furniture NOT provided by Moreton Hire, must arrive no earlier than Friday 26 th September :30am to 16:00pm. Request for delivery of exhibition items before or after this date and time must be coordinated with the Organiser. Collection of banners, equipment or furniture NOT provided by the Moreton Hire must be collected no later than 5

6 Thursday 2 nd October 16:00pm. Uncollected items will incur a daily storage fee of $50 per item for 1 week at which time the uncollected item will be disposed by the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Delivery label and collection details and conditions are available for download online at: Venue Access for Vehicle Bump-in and Bump-out A finalised schedule of vehicle bump-in for Vehicle Display (non booth) areas will be provided by 20 th September 2014, 1 week prior to bump-in. Parking Onsite parking is available at a rate of $10.00 per 24 hour. Car park entrance is at the northern end of the building, accessible from the traffic lights off the Gold Coast Highway and the main driveway off TE Peters Drive. Security The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre will provide onsite 24 hour security however exhibitors should remain vigilant in securing personal and valuable items and have appropriate insurance in the event of loss or damage. Liability The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury incurred by delegates or exhibitors. Exhibitors must ensure that they have insurance covering public liability, damage and loss. The Organiser will not accept any claims or representations of any type. Your attendance at the Australasia Bus and Coach & Expo will be your acceptance of this condition. Health and Safety It is the responsibility of all Exhibiting organisations and attending staff or contractors to abide by the rules outlined in the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre Health & Safety Guidelines and the Exhibition Manual which are available online at All exhibitors, contractors, staff and employees must wear high visibility safety vests or clothing at all times during bump-in and bump-out whilst the expo space is under construction. Vests may be purchased for $10.00 at the Security Office of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on the day. Dress Code Dress code for the Exhibition area is either smart casual or business attire. Signage Placement of signage or banners within the internal foyer space, conference plenary rooms or externally to the venue must be coordinated and approved by the Organiser. Signage priority, preferences and positioning will be given to & Expo Sponsors. 7 Guest Speakers Glenn Cooper The Chairman of Coopers Brewery, Glenn Cooper, will tell a David and Goliath tale of a family business surviving in the face of massive competition. In the 80 s Glenn set up a private business in computer sales and services which grew to an annual turnover in excess of $3.5 million. In 1990 Glenn joined the family business and in his time at the brewery has overseen the growth of the company and launch of a range of the diverse beers that we all enjoy.
