3 Why Spnsr? Funds raised thrugh spnsrship pprtunities directly enefit prgrams and prjects at Reid Park Z. As a 501 (c)(3) nnprfit, was frmed t raise resurces t supprt the Z, its exhiits, educatin prgrams, cnservatin effrts, and capital prjects. ducatin: ducatinal Prgraming is central t the missin f Reid Park Z and serves ur cmmunity s teachers and students. Funding prvides camp schlarships, wrkshps fr teachers, nsite educatin prgrams fr Z visitrs and schlchildren, and utreach prgrams fr lcal rganiatins and schls. Cnservatin: At Reid Park Z we are actively invlved with cnservatin prgrams, th arund the wrld and lcally. With help frm yu, we are ale t address a wide range f issues that impact animals in the wild. Sme f the in-situ (in the wild) prjects we wrk with invlve cnservatin effrts fr tigers, elephants, eras, plar ears, and rhins. Lcal prgrams we supprt. are. spay/neuter prgrams fr cmpanin animals and wildlife rescue and rehailitatin. Capital Prjects / Haitat Imprvements: xpeditin Tanania, the 7-acre elephant haitat, is just ne example f hw cmmunity supprt makes a difference fr ur animals at the Z. Prjects in 2016 and 2017 include a gin trail, animal health center and meerkat haitat. 11 ANIMAL TH ZOO Animal ncunters are pp-up events that prvide Z guests with up-clse animalrelated experiences during their Z visit. ncunters are held at varius times thrughut the mnth, and at lcatins arund the Z including the tter and tiger haitats, xpeditin Tanania, and the Z s Cnservatin Learning Center. Z educatrs and Keepers talk t guests and cnduct demnstratins aut animal enrichment, training, and animal care. Spnsrs will receive expsure n the event ard at the frnt f the Z which shws the time and lcatin f the presentatin. A anner* with lg will als e displayed at the presentatin lcatin. At the end f each presentatin, staff will verally thank the spnsr fr their generus underwriting.
