3 HOTEL PARKHOTEL SCHÖNBRUNN VIENNA HIETZINGER HAUPTSTRASSE VIENNA This hotel was built in 1907 as a guesthouse for Kaiser Franz Josef and has a long and lively history behind it. The hotel is located next to Schönbrunn Palace within the Hietzing villa district of Vienna. Directly opposite the hotel, the Hietzinger Gate leads into Schönbrunn Palace park with its wide range of sights and attractions which include a palmhouse, Gloriette, historical fountains and Schönbrunn zoo, the oldest zoo in the world. The city centre is just a few minutes away by underground from U4 Hietzing station. A garage for cars is directly located at the hotel. Parking space for busses is located just a few walking minutes away from the hotel. The imperial atmosphere of bygone days combined with modern facilities and friendly service make the hotel unique in the city of Vienna. 4 GOLF TOURNAMENT ( ) THURSDAY, 13 rd SEPTEMBER Please note, that the Golf Course is about 40 km far away from the Hotel, therefore we need to leave the hotel at 08:30! Check your arrival time! For all golf participant, arriving at the 13 th we will organize a bus from the airport direct to the Golf Course; departure at 08:30! A pleasant atmosphere with a high level of service awaits you, along with very good course quality and a good sporting niveau. The GC Föhrenwald is in its natural state and an oasis of peace. Our naturally protected Sousliks can be seen on the fairways. In May 2012 we opened the new green 13.Golf architect Jeff Howes once again left his Canadian-Irish signature on the green and Head Greenkeeper Wayne Beasley and his Greenkeeper team keep the course in shape. Since May 2005 Golfclub Föhrenwald is the venue for the Ladies European Tour. 6 SPEAKERS PORTRAIT HANS EYSINK SMEETS Hans Eysink Smeets is one of the most sought-after catalysts in change processes in retail all over the world. In regular retail, in fast moving consumer goods, retail banking, post offices, automotive retail. His projects have taken him to 32 countries on 5 continents. He is very much at home when chaos reigns,whenever a retail sector is in a phase of fundamental change, when old thinking has lost its effectiveness. At you will find much more details; client list, dozens of client references, what we do, who we are, etc. DAVID SHUKRI Channel Research Manager IGD David joined IGD in March 2010 and as is now Channel Research Manager responsible for leading IGD s coverage of the convenience, wholesale and discount channels. This includes developing IGD s industry events, research and training programmes to continue sharing best-practice in the UK and abroad. He is a regular presenter and facilitator at briefings and workshops focused on a variety of industry topics, from convenience through to wider grocery trends and developments. David brings with him several years of retail experience, both in the dynamic UK convenience sector and the large scale supermarket environment. In 2004, he joined Sainsbury s and went on to hold a number of supply chain and commercial roles covering fresh, frozen and non-food categories. He then joined Musgrave Retail Partners as trading manager for fresh meat and poultry before his move to IGD. David has a BSc Honours degree in International Business and French from Aston University, Birmingham. Lutz NATONEK General Manager, Travel Retail Experts Since 1988 in Duty Free/Travel Retail. Holding different positions in Marketing and Sales with British American Tobacco, Weitnauer and R-Trade. Co-Founder of Travel Retail Experts in The company represents various products in Travel Retail and assumes a consulting role for companies seeking a foothold in this prestigious and much specialised sales channel. PETER KORSMIT Managing director of import company WIVERSALES, from 1983 till Confectionary products, brands like Van Houten, Yersey éclairs, Chupa Chups, Smint. In 1996, we merched with Eurocandy and the name was changed into Starsweets Holland., still managing director. New brand like WOLF Germany, salted snacks and many kids items under licence were added. In the year 2000, I sold my shares and started, as a one man show an agency company named Pop & Sweet BV, representing chocolate companies like WITORS, WALCOR, candy companies TROLLI and ROSHEN, biscuit company Seasonal supplies Indonesia, and icepops from Latvia. We sold to all those items to big retailers in Holland, the icepops all over the world, and last but not least the chocolate to Aldi group, north and south. page 6 of 12

7 After 10 years I decided to sell to my good friend Ronald Pop & Sweet, today I do some consultancy, to him. Peter was a member of EFBA since 1987 till 2000, member of the ESMA board for 5 years and ESMA president in ANDRIUS SAMAITIS Founder and Chairman of the Board of VILANDRA. Founder and Director of BIOSALA - Natural and Organic Product Retail Store Chain. Andrius is originally educated as radio physicist in Vilnius University and even has led several successful engineering projects. Since 1992 he joined forces of FMCG distribution and has graduated EMBA studies at Baltic Management Institute. Vilandra company, under his leadership, has established well known nonfood brands as Durex, Scholl, Vileda, Wilkinson Sword, Sensodyne, o.b., Carefree, Johnson s Baby, Listerine, Neutrogena as well as Haribo, Lindt, Fisherman s Friend, Similac and others in the food category in Lithuanian and Latvian markets. Since 2008 Andrius Samaitis became more and more involved in organic and natural product marketing and sales, at first as a distributor and then as a retailer. Working at Biosala, besides lots of meetings with organic product manufacturers, farmers and distributors, he participates in main events of organic product associations in Lithuania, Italy, Germany, trying to understand the essence of this niche market and its potential. The aim to make organic products affordable for most of consumers targeted Andrius to devote todays focus and efforts to study and develop efficient ways of organic products marketing and sales. This Baroque synthesis of different arts, consisting of a palace and gardens, has been in the possession of the Habsburgs for centuries, and is today largely in its original historical condition. After coffee the bus brings us to Klosterneuburg Faith Klosterneuburg Monastery The origins of Klosterneuburg Monastery go back to Margrave Leopold III, who in 1113 relocated his residence to Klosterneuburg and in the following year fulfilled a vow by founding the monastery (as recounted in the Legend of the Veil). 11 AIRPORT The Vienna Airport is located south east of Vienna, 20 kilometres from the City Centre. How to get to the hotel? There are different possibilities PUBLIC TRANSFER: BY CAT (City-Airport-Train) The CAT takes just 16 minutes nonstop to get from central Vienna to the airport and vice versa. One way ticket EUR 9.00 (two times an hour / 00.36) You will end up at Landstraßer Hauptstraße where you can take the U4 (Underground, green line ticket at the automatic casher EUR 2.00) directly to the hotel. Your station: Hietzing / Zoo BY BUS (Postbus, Line 1185) to MORZINPLATZ which is directly at the U4 (Underground, green line - ticket at the automatic casher EUR 2.00) directly to the hotel. Your station: Hietzing / Zoo One way ticket EUR 7.00 (two times an hour / 00.50) The tickets for the Viennese public transport are available at the cash machine at the stations. One ticket cost EUR As long you don t change direction you can go as long as you like. BY TAXI: BY CAR: You will find different taxi organisations (desks at the arrival hall in front of the Exit) which will bring you to the hotel at the airport to the city for about EUR 35. We can order a taxi for you as well, but we would need a short mail with the exact flight details if this is not in your registration. For your navigation system: Hietzinger Hauptstr , 1130 Vienna TAXI IN VIENNA: From the Hotel to the Opera House it will cost about EUR The taxi drivers prefer cash and you please ask for a: Rechnung (which means receipt in German) most of the drivers understand English. What you should know Vienna is a secure City. Most of the people are able to communicate in English. If you ask somebody in the street everybody will help you (could be that they are telling long stories).
