2 2 Over the last five years, the international exhibition ADVENTUR has become the largest specialized tourism event in the Baltic countries. ADVENTUR stands out from other similar exhibitions for its unique event programme and interactivity this is a place where new tourism ideas and guidelines are generated and the international collaboration and popularization of tourism services are promoted. Organized for the first time in 2013, the international exhibition ADVENTUR is the fastest growing international project organized by LITEXPO. Over the last five years, the number of exhibition participants has increased by 150 percent, the number of visitors by 80 percent, and the number of countries from around the world participating in the exhibition has more than doubled. In 2018, the ADVENTUR exhibition will continue to grow ambitiously and expand by adding new spaces. LITEXPO s modern Central Building will open its doors to displays by exhibitors and will be occupied by foreign embassies, foreign travel agencies and joint stands of foreign countries. The additional event zones Taste the World and Travel Cinema will be created for exhibitors presentations. A comfortable B2B space will be established for tourism business professionals business meetings. In 2018 Lithuania will be celebrating one hundred years since the restoration of its statehood and will invite all Lithuanian people, foreign guests, and tourists to actively participate in various celebrations and get to know our country, its achievements, and culture better, all year round. ADVENTUR 2018 invites everybody to celebrate by travelling around and discovering Lithuania s unique routes, festive events and entertainment specially prepared by the country s cities and regions for the centenary of Lithuania s statehood. Prepared by the State Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy, the unique Lithuania s Centenary Route featuring one hundred legends will be introduced at the exhibition. The theme of the exhibition ADVENTUR 2018 Demand for niche tourism is growing not only in Lithuania but also in the global tourism market. Contemporary tourists go beyond the traditional places of interest and more often than not look for unique experiences and impressions: from wine routes or trails based on movies or books and interactive education programmes to extreme or solo trips. Therefore, ADVENTUR 2018 invites you to a three-day experience tour, This exposition is designed to encourage visitors to discover not only traditional but also new bespoke and mesmerizing travel offers, as well as new countries, routes and services.

In 2018, the forum Niche Tourism: Opportunities and Perspectives will discuss the opportunities offered by niche tourism for local and global business. How can special tourism products be adapted to the needs of a specific market segment? How does niche tourism help businesses to compete in the highly competitive and saturated tourism market? TRAVELLING IS MY LIFESTYLE is a traditional space very popular among visitors, for an event series where celebrity Lithuanian performers, artists, television personalities, famous travellers and guides share their success stories, experiences, adventures and priceless personal discoveries made on the road. GEOGRAPHY QUIZ is an event organized by the Lithuanian Association of Geography Teachers for Lithuanian students, for the third year in a row. In 2017, 474 students, grades 6-12, from 77 Lithuanian schools and 27 municipalities took the quiz. Adults can also test their geography knowledge and compete. TRAVEL CINEMA is a new exhibition space in a renovated LITEXPO building where travel-inspiring feature and documentary films will be shown. AUTHENTIC LITHUANIA is a new display where unique, national heritage products from Lithuania (food, drinks, authentic items, traditional crafts) are introduced.
