WICKLOW Situated in the scenic valley of Baltinglass; an idyllic quaint town which is set at the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains adjacent to the border with County Kildare. Baltinglass is the point at which the River Slaney sets off on its journey to sea and is of significant historic importance having formed around a Cistercian Abbey in the twelfth Century. Today Baltinglass stands as a thriving market town with a regular street market complimenting the numerous retailers. The population of the town stands at 2061 (and is expected to reach 3000 by year 2016). The subject site is carved out of the hillside on the R747 adjacent to both Scoil Chonglais and Scoil Naomh Iosef. The Ardglass development is located on the north-eastern side of the Lathaleer Road (R747) in Baltinglass. The development is the most significant seen in the area for some time
