1 The Privy AS XLI Barony Of Terra Pomaria March 2007 Announcements Seneschal Greeting unto the Citizens of the barony of Terra Pomaria, I would like to extend an enormous thank you to HL Maccus for autocratting The Feast of Melting Icicles and doing such a wonderful job. Thank you to everyone that attended the event and helped out it making it a success. I would also like to thank all of people who have expressed an interest in becoming the new Baron and Baroness of these fine lands. You are all wonderful people and I look forward to what the coming months hold. Good luck to you all! The candidates will present themselves tonight to the populace and give brief statements of intent. The populas is welcome after the meeting is adjourned to ask questions and talk to the candidates on an individual basis. There will be a formal question and answer session on March 12 th at ceilidh. The Q&A will begin at 7:30 with introductions and statements from each candidate. The polling will be conducted via the US Postal service. There will be time scheduled at March business meeting to meet with the candidates one last time before the polling on an informal basis. Polling forms will be mailed on March 20 th and MUST be postmarked and returned to his majesty by March 30 th For all of those who are ineligible to send in a polling form you are encouraged to write a letter to his majesty. Only those who reside in our zip code ranges and or are officers. Sergeants ECT will be eligible for a form. Those who live outside of our zip code range MUST show proof of membership and provide their physical address to the seneschal no later than March 16 th 2007 to receive a polling form. There will be NO Exceptions. The financial committee met in January and established an operating budget for This will be gone over later in the meeting. Having trouble getting account to balance. Chamberlain: All items check out for FMI have been returned except a bin of table linens that will be returned this week. Chronicler: Minutes were read and approved. Financial meeting minutes were read, A correction was made to the signers on the account.. Arkil pointed out that the pop up used for gate is no longer functional. It was moved, seconded and approved to purchase a new pop up for gate. 9 Web Minister: Was able to get into and update information on the web site. She would like to point out that she does not re-write information before posting on the website. Autocrats please send info for events to be posted. Please send info to Dara if you are not on the populace list. Chatelaine: Marshaling class in April. Have not been able to contact Nova for the return of Gold Key. Fionna and Robert have talked and would like to have someone in charge of doing Demo s. Robert has agreed to do this. Request approved. Demo Master: French Prairie School is doing studies on Medieval life and would like us to do a demo for them in the next 3-4 weeks. Robert has been contacted about doing another demo for Cub Scouts. Donald days is coming up. Nedezhda pointed out a couple of demo booboos that have been made in the kingdom. Children 13 and over cannot participate in whack a knight activities. We need to refrain from using the term Boffer weapons. We shoul use the term whale bone or youth combat weapons. Gold Key: Open, Arrangements need to be made to meet with Nova s father to pick up items. Constabulary: Has a new deputy, Fearadach MacDhubhggail Requesting to purchase 2 more radios. Herald: Very little Heralding to do at FMI. Cesare did Heralding for Rapier contest. Please check OP to ensure all awards are correct. Office is open will close in March. Checking into getting the class So You Want To Wear a Coronet class. Will try to get dancing going again at Ceilidh. If you would like to do a class at an event please contact the autocrat of that event. For classes at Ceilidh please contact Fionna or Georgette to arrange.

A suggestion was made to have pages assist. But you have to be 18 or older to go onto Erik, children can give water off the Erik. Dean of Pages: January has gone well. Have 2 pages ready to step up to Journeyman pages and 1 new apprentice page to step up. Current pages both helped at FMI and did a great job. Scribal: Position open, I deputy has applied for the position Chirurgeon: No issues were brought to her at event. Old Business: Winter s End: o Was an awesome event Thank you to all that helped at the event. We had 28 fighters present o Named a new rapier Champion Armond. o 94 people attended. 85 paid, 9 comped o Income of , expenses of with a profit of o Deposit of $100will be returned. o Site was very happy with the excellent cleaning job that was done on the hall. Bargemels: o Autocrat meeting on Wed Feb 21 st at Wallery s in West Salem. All are welcome. o Marshalls please contact me with info on what is needed for your area, and if you have prizes.

11 o Erin is sponsoring Peep s Subtlety Contest. o Bag Raffle will be held again this year. We need items donated for the raffle. o Maccus has volunteered to help man outside gate at park. We need additional volunteers. o Outside gate volunteers will need to have use of a cell phone as radios will not work out there. o Roric is able to have copies made of any flyers we need if we provide him with the paper. Long and Short: o Lynnarra and Amlynn submitted a bid for Long and Short for a total of $3,205 with break even at 176 people. o Bid war for Willamette Mission Park. (Mission Lake B site) o Bid was accepted. o Lynnarra asked that all officers fulfill the duties of their office at the event. o Dara will sponsor Pet Garb Contest. Fall Coronet: o Willamette Mission Park (Walnut Grove) is reserved for the event. o The event will be 14thru 16 th. o We are looking for people to donate prizes. o Nedezhda volunteered to assist to man the outside gate at the park. We will need additional volunteers. o The parks $3 day use fee is to be paid by those Day Tripping Fee at the park gate. o The event tokens made by Rafe will be for sale at $1.00 each. New Business: Doomsday Book: o All those that worked on the Doomsday book need to send permission to publish forms to Alainne. o Forms can be found on the Forms & Publications page of website. o Please add that the kingdom has the right to publish in perpetuity. o Alainne would also like you to add a write-up of any incidents that occurred during your work on the pages. Kingdom seeking our help: o Nedezhda announced that the Kingdom is seeking people to put in bids for kingdom events thru Travel Fund: o Erin was seeking donations for Summits and Kingdom travel funds. 12 Thomas s Letter of Intent: To the Seneschal and Populace of Terra Pomaria. My name is Thomas Sinclair. This is my letter of intent and Resume for the office of Herald of Terra Pomaria, also known as Hazel Leaf Parsuivant. I began my SCA history in 1999 in the Shire of Dragon s Mist. I started my heraldic studies under the tutelage of HL Teceangl Bach, and HL Francesca Testarossa demartini in the year I have also taken lessons from my mundane Uncle Ciaran Cluana Fuerta. Two of these three have been Lions Blood Herald (Kingdom level) I have acted as temporary court herald on several occasions over the last 5 years, I have also done town cryer numerous times. I have helped conflict check and submit dozens of devices for numerous people. At the present time I am working on my knowledge of names and pronunciations. Thank you for you consideration.
