Board member Renee was absent. Kathy motioned and Carol seconded to accept the annual meeting minutes as written. Motion carried. Kathy motioned and Carol seconded that we accept the July board meeting minutes. Motion carried. Peggy gave the Treasurer s Report as follows: Income dues Expense Insurance Present Balance $ Carol motioned to accept the Treasurer s Report and Bonnie seconded. Motion carried. 5
6 Carol motioned that as of July 7, 2017, Elise Ciraolo be removed as a signer and Peggy Cooper, our new Treasurer, be added as a signer on our Umpqua Bank checking account. Don Todd and Tony Mason will remain as signers also. Curt seconded and the motion carried. Don brought up a discussion about how many meetings can a guest attend before they are expected to join. We will go over the Policies at a later date. Discussion was thought to be 3 meetings before being expected to join. 4C s - Elise has collected some images for monthly competition. She will send out s to the membership asking for other 4C s competition images. Convention - Elise has checked with the Mill Casino and we are set to have the C s Convention there on the second floor. It can host 140 people for a cost in the vicinity of $ for 2 days, with other costs on top of that, such as food, projector, screens, etc. Elise will check back next week and firm up prices. There is a possibility of some kind of entertainment from the Casino that could be photographed by convention attendees. Horses running in the surf was also discussed as a field trip for convention attendees. Fair - Last week a special meeting concerning the fair was held for all interested parties. What worked, what didn t work and changes that need to be made were discussed. Some changes were: two people will work the last shift of the day instead of one, three new categories added-macro, Night Scene, Selfies and one category eliminated-other. The thickness of entries will be addressed and no stretched canvas, metal prints, or acrylic prints will be accepted. Before the fair there will be education for OCPA members working take-in and sitting a session at the fair. Pony Village - Bonnie has us set up for a Show/Sale on November 16 thru 19 with hanging on the 15 th. BBQ - This coming Saturday will be Thomas Konomos BBQ in Coquille. It starts at 4:00 P.M.; bring a side dish and a chair. MOTY - Kathy would like to have the ability to give points at her discretion, such as bringing refreshments for the meeting or doing something helpful to the general population of OCPA. Fund Raising - Raffling another gift certificate was discussed. We made $5 on the last one. Elise has a lens pouch that has never been used and has offered it as a raffle item. She will bring it to the next meeting. Carol brought up the discussion of having an equipment exchange. We all have old equipment hanging around that someone else may be interested in. This would be exchange only with no money changing hands. This will be discussed more at a later date. Proof Sheet - We have a new Proof Sheet Editor. Bonnie Graham has kindly stepped up and is willing to edit the newsletter. Elise is in the process of setting up a web address for Bonnie. 6
7 The suitcases that Renee donated are being put to good use. Bonnie is using the medium size one for Pony Village Show/Sale paraphernalia and the large one is housing the equipment used for each OCPA meeting. Thank you, Dick and Kathy, for the storage of back-up equipment. Tony will be gone next meeting and Vice President Bonnie Smith will run the meeting with Elise running the computer and projector. With there being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:54 P.M.
