The Caulking Memo is designed to fill in the information cracks that occur with the Museum s seasonal operational changes throughout the year. The Caulking Memo is distributed to staff and volunteers through the Staff Bulletin distribution list and a copy is posted in each department (if there is not a copy in your department please ask your department director). There are typically seven Caulking Memos a year: Early Winter (December), Winter (January and February), Late Winter (February March), Spring (March June), Summer (June September), Early Fall (September October), and Late Fall (November). A Caulking Memo is produced when a seasonal Map and Guide is published for the visitor experience. All prearranged groups must be met at the Thompson Building by the organizing staff member to be escorted onto the grounds. These special groups/visitors must be accompanied by a staff member at all times while on campus): o School group guided tour and special programs o Williams Mystic parent and prospective student tours o Staff from other institutions on a professional visit o Colleagues and supporters visiting on Museum business o An appointment to visit the Museum grounds to plan for a future event 2
