2 Day #3 / Saturday / August 8 9:00 AM Meet local guide at our hotel and depart for a tour of Plymouth, America s home town 10:30 AM Board the Mayflower II, docked in Plymouth, a replica of the ship that sailed the Pilgrims to the New World in Be sure to bring your cameras. 11:00 AM View the famous Plymouth Rock and then resume the guided tour of Plymouth with a visit to the Grist Mill. 12:30 PM Lunch (on your own) at the picturesque waterfront of Plymouth, Massachusetts 1:45 PM Board Captain John Whale Vessel in Plymouth for an approximate 3½ hour whale watching cruise. We will see such landmarks as the Hoxie House, Cape Cod s oldest house, the Thornton Burgess Museum where the author of Peter Rabbit dwelled, and the Dexter Grist Mill where today they still grind grain for sale. In addition, we see the First Church of Christ known for its Christopher Wren designed Steeple. Another highlight will be a stop at the Heritage Museum and Gardens, which includes a collection of Currier & Ives prints, and a wonderful antique car collection exhibit in the round barn, including the 1930 Duesenberg once owned by movie star Gary Cooper. 12:00 PM Lunch (on your own) at Seafood Sam s, overlooking the Cape Cod Canal 1:00 PM Visit the Green Briar which offers an extensive assortment of delicious local jellies 2:00 PM Depart the Green Brier and travel to Hyannis, Massachusetts on Cape Cod 2:30-4:00 PM Tour Hyannis, Massachusetts with a local guide including stops at the Kennedy Memorial and St. Francis Xavier Church, where many a celebrity wedding was held 4:00-4:30 PM Free time to peruse Hyannis or visit the John F. Here we will tour Oak Bluffs, site of the famous Ginger Bread Houses, then on to Edgartown, where the movie Jaws was filmed. There is time for shopping and lunch (on your own) followed by further touring.

This home was built for Darwin D. Martin, a prominent businessman, and his wife. Especially notable in this home are exquisite art glass windows featuring numerous pieces of jewellike iridescent glass. The Darwin Martin House is a complex that includes a significant size home as well as the Carriage House, the Gardener s Cottage, the Conservatory and the Pergola.
