Mr Bruce Byron AM Bruce Byron graduated from Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) pilot training in He spent twenty years in the RAAF with active service in Vietnam, operations in Papua New Guinea and a number of tours as a flying instructor specializing in training new flying instructors. From 2004 to 2008 Bruce was chairman and CEO of CASA where his focus was to make the organization more efficient, increase surveillance of passenger carrying operators and encourage operators, especially industry CEOs, to take more responsibility to deliver safe outcomes. Before leaving CASA in early 2009, he signed the legislative instrument that mandated Safety Management Systems in the airline sector. - page 2

Management of the enterprise aims to integrate intensive irrigation and cropping with livestock production. Safety is a major priority. The feedlot is verticaly intergrated on a mixed enterprise farm being run by third generation farmers, Georgina and the Bond family. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations must be advised in writing to the Registration Secretariat by 15 September There is an 50% cancellation fee. Refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances after this date, but substitute delegates are acceptable. PAYMENT OF FEES Payment can be made by credit card (via secure online registration only) or by personal or organisation cheque. 8 ACCOMMODATION Please state your arrival and departure dates and enclose one night s accommodation payment with your registration. The deposit is forwarded to the hotel and you are responsible for paying the balance on your departure. If your choice of room is unavailable, the Secretariat will contact you. The Secretariat will not accept accommodation bookings after 16 September After that date delegates must make their own arrangements direct with the hotels. These rates are available only by booking through the ARA Annual Scientific Meeting Secretariat. Early reservations are encouraged. Reservations are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. The special conference accommodation rate is available for extended stays. Rooms are not guaranteed for check in before 1400 hours. To ensure your immediate occupation of your room on arrival if prior to 1400 hours, you may pre-register your room (book and pay for the night before). Please indicate on your registration form if you would like to pre-register your room. These rates are based on a per room per night basis for single/twin and double occupancy. Extra persons staying over the twin or double arrangement incur a $40.00 per person per night charge. Should a twin room comprising two double beds be required, this is to be specified in the rooming list and is subject to availability. Accommodation cancellations in whole or in part or no shows, giving less than days written notice, may incur a penalty at the accommodation venue s discretion. All accommodation rates include 10% GST. A tax invoice for accommodation will be issued by the hotel upon checkout. A deposit of at least one night s tariff is required to secure your booking.
