2 Highlights Thank members at the meeting fr attendance and wrk, increase in participatin is due t their effrts at the Assciatin level. Masters Players are the mainstays f many assciatins. Playing helps maintain engagement at all levels Current challenge t increase participatin in yunger Masters grups (35 s 45 s) even 50 s Cmbining the s champinships and the draw structure explained. Request t the assciatins t get ut there and get teams invlved. Thank yu t Rbert Redding and Keith Kauter fr their tireless wrk ver the past 6 years n the cmmittee, as they must stand dwn at this AGM accrding t ur Charter. Thank yu t David Campbell fr assistance with the printing f the Annual reprt and Minutes and Carline Campbell fr her assistance in setting up the Survey f ur players after Adelaide and help in evaluating the data cllected. The survey has been an invaluable tl prviding bth feedback and infrmatin t shape plicy int the future Player f the Year - Dennis Cranstn Hckey NSW Lifetime Cntributin t Mens Masters Peter Sweeney Presentatin f the awards will be as part f the Hckey NSW awards night in Bathurst. 5. Treasurers reprt presented by Nel French Health financial psitin, $130,000 net funds t wrk with, we hld a balance f arund $60,000 fr accmmdatin depsits fr the next Natinal Champinships. There was a mdest prfit f $6000 fr This mney will be returned t the players in the near future via subsidies fr state dinners and ur unifrm change ver in 2018 and the training attendance payments. 3 Changes t the unifrm rdering and payment prcess fr 2017 explained. All rders and payments will be n line. Players requested t try n unifrm at the champinships 2018 will be the start f a new unifrm cycle. We will be changing t a similar strip t all ther Hckey NSW teams. Players still creating payment prblems. Late payments f the levy a particular prblem. Sme explanatin fr the data n the fluctuatins in participatin levels in the ver 40 s and 45 s Andrew Terrey thanked Tny Nixn fr his utstanding effrts, his stats wrk and verall wrk rate. R Redding and K Kauter t stand dwn after serving 3 X 2year terms as per the Charter. Jhn O Dnnell and Daniel Frman are seeking re-electin after serving 1 X 2 year term. The relevant charter pint was displayed and discussed. There was als discussin arund the number f assciatins relative t the ld znes and hw that impacted n vting and frming a qurum. Discussin n hw the 2 vtes fr assciatins with ver 100 members rule has been applied. The charter identifies that any assciatin must apply. It was pinted ut that fr the past 10 years the 2 nd vte has been granted autmatically. There was a mtin t grant Newcastle a 2 nd vte. C Whittaker (Newcastle) secnded J. O Dnnell (ISCH). David Thmpsn stated that participatin was the imprtant factr and that while having each Sydney assciatin represented wuld be an ideal he understands that at the Masters level it is still nt pssible. He will apprach the bard t explain Sydney masters psitin and we wuld be OK t accept entries frm Sydney Masters. There was a cmment frm D Campbell that the Sydney Masters cmpetitin was a great vehicle t maintain the engagement f Masters aged players in Sydney area. It shuld be supprted and encuraged at all levels, including State representatin. Selectin Prcess fr 2017, players nminating will be tld t wear an identifying leg garter. Garter/bands t be supplied by NSW Mens Masters. Managers are t cllect the bands frm the TD bench at the start f champinships and return them at the cnclusin. Natinals in Newcastle will be hsting the 2018 Mens Masters Natinals. There was discussin as t the bidding prcess and the fact that there was n NSW hckey input. All negtiatin where between destinatin NSW and Hckey Australia. Hw they arrived at 5

6 Newcastle is nt transparent. There is n visible bidding prcess r pprtunity fr hckey assciatins within NSW t bid fr the rights t hst the Natinals. There was cncern ver where the natinals will be in Cncerns centred n Lack f variety in venues, lss f the ld rtatin prcess left us with nly 3 venue states and it was predicted that participatin wuld decline if that happened. burning ut the Vlunteer pl with 2 Natinal champinships in a rw, Wmen fllwed by Men. Pssibility returning t Newcastle in 2019, Cncern abut the ld Rtatin system being lst and the impact n participatin. AMHC is aware f the cncerns; State delegates t AMHC als have viced cncern t AMHC. The meeting viced cncern arund lack f transparency f bidding prcess lack f Hckey input t select venue tender Lack f pprtunity fr assciatin t tender. Cnway Bgg (Gulburn) raised a cncern abut the nminatin prcess fr psitins n the Subcmmittee. The cncern was that any assciatin culd nminate a member frm anther assciatin fr a psitin n the subcmmittee. The chair pinted ut the apprpriate charter clause. There was discussin arund if that was the spirit f the dcument. Masters Only registratin. T Nixn pinted ut that 55 players using the Masters nly in 2016 will need t re-register fr 2017 befre they cmpete in any state champinships. The link fr Masters nly shuld be functining frm ur website sn. Masters Age Grup databases available fr any assciatin t take hme frm the meeting. Trans-Tasman clash with Australian player wanting t attend the 35 s r 65 s. Australian 35 s players already have been ntified by the Australian cach nt t attend ur 35 s.
