2 WG1 JPEG/JBIG Meeting Notice July 12-16, 2010 Brussels, Belgium To be held at: Hotel Bloom!, Brussels, Belgium Location The meeting venue is: Hotel BLOOM! Rue Royale / Koningstraat Brussels Belgium T: +32 (0) F: +32 (0) Travel Reaching the Hotel BLOOM! is easy. The hotel on rue Royale central Brussels is located beside the Brussels inner ring road and adjacent to the beautiful Botanic Gardens. It features a private parking for 110 cars. Brussels Airport is located at 12 km or 15 minutes by taxi with normal traffic. Direct train connections are available between Brussels Airport and North Station (3 per hour). Hotel BLOOM! This central Brussels hotel is just 20 metres away from a Metro station, trams and busses at Botanique and the nearest rail connection is Gare du Nord/North Station at 500 metres. Thalys and Eurostar station is Gare du Midi/South Station at 3 km reachable by metro or via the direct train connections between the North and South stations 2

3 Hotels We regret having to inform you that the organizing committee cannot be take charge of hotel reservation for meeting attendees. Rooms have been reserved in the meeting hotel at a rate of 95 for a single room / 110 for a double room. All the above mentioned rates are per room and per night, buffet breakfast, VAT and service charge included. In the above mentioned rates, the city tax is not included which is at 5,95 per room per night. Free Internet is available throughout the hotel. Attendees need to make their own reservation via the internet at their reserved rate ( At the 10 th of June all un-booked rooms will be released. Reservations made then after that date are available upon availability and at the best available rate. Payments must be made via the JPEG Brussels 2010 meeting registration form, using a major credit card (VISA of Mastercard). The facilities fee includes: 4 Meeting rooms with wireless internet access, AV equipment and power plugs Daily wake-up and boost break coffee/tea service Lunches Delegates attendance at the social event LCD projection, flip-charts per room Time Zone Brussels time time will be +2 hour from UTC/Greenwich Mean Time.
