Also, for the duration of the event, accommodation and meals will be provided to all participants and experts by the OECD Korea Policy Centre. You will be staying venue, Park Sunshine Hotel Jeju from Sunday preceding the event to the following Sunday, your day of departure. If you have plans to come to Jeju, Korea before Sunday (9th Sept.), please note that you will be responsible for any expenses incurred such as accommodation and meals outside the official schedule.

2 How to Get There Please make a flight reservation as early as possible. Transferring Flights (via Incheon International Airport: Highly Recommended) If you are not able to find a direct flight to Jeju Islands from your country, you will arrive in Korea at Incheon International airport and take transferring flights at the same airport. There are some domestic flights going to Jeju from Incheon International Airport. Please consult with your travel agencies. Transferring Flights (via Gimpo International Airport, Seoul) If you are not able to take the domestic flights from Incheon International Airport, you may take transferring flights at Gimpo International Airport. There are two ways of getting to Gimpo International Airport from Incheon International Airport. 1 By Subway You can take AREX (Airport Railroad Subway) at Incheon International Airport. Please get off at Gimpo International Airport which is 6 stops away. The subway journey will take approximately 40 minutes. 2 By Bus You can take the airport limousine bus No or 6003 at Incheon International Airport going to Gimpo Airport. The bus journey will take approximately an hour. Direct Flight There are some direct flights available from some nearby cities. Below is the table of cities that have direct flights to Jeju. Please confirm with a travel agency whether there is a direct flight.

3 From Jeju Airport to Park Sunshine Hotel Jeju Below are the two options you may choose from: 1 By Bus (highly recommended) Please take the Airport limousine Number 600 at the Bus Stop (Arrival Gate # 5) in front of Jeju International Airport. Bus Fare will be around 5,000 Won (4 USD) from the airport to hotel. When you get off the bus at NEW KYEONGNAM Hotel Station, the shuttle bus will be available to the last destination, Park Sunshine Hotel, while it is about 15 minutes of walking distance. The shuttle bus schedule will be informed soon.

4 2 By Taxi The taxi, going to Seoguipo-City are also available at the Taxi Stand in front of the Jeju International Airport (Arrival Gate 4). Tax Fare is around 50,000 Korean Won (40 USD) from the airport to the hotel. Please confirm the taxi fare with taximeter. Meals Most of meals will be provided by the OECD Korea Policy Centre with catering service or meal vouchers. It might be changed along with the official schedule. Activities Various activities will be conducted during the event for both participants and experts. Everyone will also be provided with opportunities to experience Korean customs and traditions. On Saturday, participants will be given an opportunity to tour some of the tourist attractions in Jeju Islands. Administration of Staff During the seminar, the Centre staff will be at the staff room near the seminar room. The office is equipped with a printer, telephone and internet access. The classroom is equipped with a projector and whiteboard. Should there be any additional needs, we will do our utmost to help you. 5 Visa requirements Attendees who require an entry Visa should contact the nearest Korean consulate or embassy of the Republic of Korea for details on application procedures. Officially called Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the premier tourist destination boasts mild weather, as well as scenic beauties of beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves. Some of the top tourist sites include Hallasan National Park with a largely diverse species of flora and fauna, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak with breathtaking views, and Manjanggul Cave, the World s longest lava tube that has been registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage. Meanwhile, Jeju has recently won the Global Geopark certificate, and a lso has been selected as the New 7 Wonders of Nature. For more information, please visit: Electricity If you intend to bring any electrical or electronic devices (e.g. radio, cassette player) to Korea, please note that there is currently only one voltage in use in Korea 220 volts Currency Exchange You can exchange main currencies such as US, Canadian and Australian dollars, etc. for the Korean won (Korean Currency) at banks located within Jeju International Airport. At the airport area, Bank opening hours are from 6:30 to 20:30. You can also exchange currency at almost any bank branches in Korea between 9:00 and 16:00. Health, Safety, and Insurance We strongly recommend you to bring your own medicine in which you are currently taking. Please also arrange your own travelers insurance before your departure.
